A beautiful fresh example of a 1969 poster featuring the work of famed Mexican artist RUFINO TAMAYO (1899-1991), **HAND SIGNED** by the artist in ballpoint pen at lower left just above the white "Tamayo". The poster commemorates one of many exhibitions of the artist's work at the well-known Bernard Lewin Galleries in Palm Springs and Beverly Hills, California. Tamayo and Lewin had a longtime business relationship, Lewin promoting Tamayo tirelessly...

Poem 70-10 is the kanji for day 日. It is a striking, simply executed print. Created in 1970, it is now over a half-century old. The print is 17.5in W x 24.5in H, large (but not huge). As Daniel Tretiak has said: In 1970 quite suddenly Haku Maki started producing truly large prints. He tells us that this one was large but Maki was destined to do even larger ones, that year and in 1973.

Leonard Russell Squirrell 1893-1979 British This is an oriignal aquatint etching by British artist Leonard R. Squirrell, this etching was created and printed in 1924 in an edition of 75 signed proofs. The image measures 11X16 1/4 inches. Pencil signed by the artist in pencil lower right border. Fine use of highlight and shadow making a dramatic composition. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper. A rare image only found in Museums.

Ohara Koson (1877-1945) Snow on Willow Bridge. A woodblock print, with gofun for the snow. With gofun paste for the flying snow and extensive embossing as snow banks, two women with umbrellas cross a bridge over the river Sumidagawa in a heavy snowfall. This print illustrates the famous Yanagibashi – Willow bridge. Signed and sealed Shoson, published by Watanabe Shozaburo, circa 1940 Vertical oban: 38.6 x 26.1 cm. Showa period, 20th century. Framed.

Etching titled "THE GREEN SHUTTER NEW ORLEANS", signed with initials in the plate and in pencil by the artist in margin, the sheet 9 7/8" by 7 3/4", framed as found in narrow black strip frame of the period. Buell was a noted woman etcher, active from the 1920's through the late 1950's. Born in Illinois, she received some art training at Oberlin College in Ohio, and further study at the Art Students League in New York and with famed etcher Martin Lewis...

In 1976 Haku Maki did three pairs of prints in which the black and white were reversed. One set is shown here. The cement blocks were used to print the white on black, then cleaned to do black on white. These were done in such themes as Mind Wind and Cloud. These are strong sweeping images in rather large prints. The two Wind images here are typical of the type. They are all about 15" x 20" and in editions of 150.

Black ink on tan paper, depicts a semi nude woman in what looks like bar or speakeasy setting, with gramophone and leering man in the background. Signed by Washington, titled "Quadroon-Gramophone" and numbered 24 of 30. Dated 1924, but actually printed in the 1990's Good condition, in acid free mats with glassine cover over image, paper affixed to back mat with small piece of tape...

Entitled "Tsep Kachina Deer Dancer", the print is accompanied by a card reading "Kyrat Tuvahoema was born on the mesa of Old Oraibe in the heart of the Hopi country in 1914. He attended day school until he transferred to Albuquerque Indian School in 1927. He then attended the Santa Fe Indian School Art Department during 1933 to 1935...
