A truly beautiful circa 1890 print of elegant Parisians strolling past and perusing the famous Bouquiniste bookstalls along the banks of the Seine River, not signed in plate nor in pencil but certainly by a listed or even important and well-known artist. To date, reverse image searches and other internet research have, frustratingly, not revealed the identity of that artist. There are no watermarks...

Scarce Currier and Ives lithograph print, sheet size 11" by 15", image area 8 1/2" by 12 3/8", titled "Prairie Hens". This is apparently a scarcer small folio image, as Cohenour prices it over $400 in his Currier price guide. One of an identically framed pair of Currier trotter horse prints in my shop, this example, "The Grand Horse ST. JULIEN, the 'King of Trotters'." (measuring 11 1/2" by 14 1/2" inside the mat, and 19" by 23" framed), is in very good condition. The print is after a painting by the noted American artist Scott Leighton. A wood engraving, late 19th century, titled at bottom center "The Yosemite Valley, California", the image a breathtaking panorama of the waterfalls and sheer cliffs of the world-renowned natural wonder, set off by foreground trees and rocky ledges. Although the vintage print is perhaps not an actual Harper's Weekly work, it is in that vein and style. Not examined out of the frame, which is an attractive dark distressed burl wood or quality wood simulation...
