Description: Wonderful gilt etching and aquatint of a sailing ship, superbly and delicately executed, early 19th century era, securely housed in a fine wood frame and since I didn't want to cause any damages to this nice frame, therefore I couldn't examine the item out of frame, but it looks fabulous and condition is great. This print is Haku Maki’s 78-6 水Water, number 108 in an edition of 151. Earlier that year,1978, he had already produced dramatic single-kanji large black and white prints. The first two, 78-1 Mountain and 78-2 Water, both horizontal prints, were 17in W x 9.25in H. They were followed soon after by 78-6, also horizontal. But this depiction of the kanji for water is nearly twice the size of the previous two: his 78-6 is 32.5 inches wide and 17 inches high (83cm W X 43.5cm H)...

Very decorative truly antique, 1770's print of an elegant lady standing, in the sanguine color, crayon technique (also known as "chalk-manner") perfected by talented eighteenth century artist GILLES DEMARTEAU (1722-1776). The print, executed after a painting by the great French Rococo master Jean-Honore Fragonard, measures 15" by 10 5/8" inside the fine French matting, with gilt border and numerous outlines, that in turn housed in a gold leaf antique frame measuring 22" by 18"...

Done in 1992, Poem 5 is a very stylized take on the kanji for woman女. Maki did many, many versions of woman. All of them are interesting, most of them striking. To me, this dramatic rendering strays the furthest from the actual character. Daniel Tretiak called this a Square Woman. This was done using the silkscreen process; it is not an embossed woodblock print. It measures 11.5in x 11.5 in.

Decorative lithograph in colors, 13 1/4" by 19 3/4" (22" by 28" as framed), unsigned, with The Collector's Guild label affixed to the backing, 1973, (titled there as "Homecoming", but from what I can determine, "Monumental" is the title in common use). This is a decorative print in excellent condition, the paper white and fresh and colors unfaded...

I offer this work on paper, 19" by 25" inside the mat, 26 1/2" by 33" framed in simple black frame (to be shipped without glass), as a print of some kind by the important Swiss modern artist HANS ERNI (1909-2015). Signed in the plate at lower right and dated there "60", this would appear to be a monotype, or possibly a lithograph, with hand coloring added. Several examples are to be seen in the auction record, and they are I believe mistakenly described as gouache, original, unique works...

Early Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992) titled “Okeya” depicting two barrel makers at work. This image is from a 1973 series of prints featuring artisans. The series is illustrated in a 1985 exhibition catalogue titled “Mori Yoshitoshi Kappa-ban.” The print is pencil-signed “Y. Mori” at the lower right, with the artist’s red seal above. It is dated ’73 and numbered 66/70...
