Sepia ink on paper drawing, 5 3/4" by 3 3/4" inside a red mat opening, 11" by 8 1/2" as framed, signed at lower left and dated there 1864, by listed English woman artist SARAH LOUISA KILPACK (1840-1909). This is a sweet, beautiful little drawing by an artist who seems to have created mostly coastal landscapes in oil, especially along the English Channel or around the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey. This would be an early work created when she would have been in only her mid 20's...

An example of the scarce "sur blanc" lithograph prints of famed French caricaturist and satirist artist HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879), the 1851 print from the "Actualites" series, and Le Charivari. It is beautifully hand colored, with gum arabic highlights in the dark areas of the central figure's robe. Not examined out of the frame, it appears very clean and fresh (happy to examine out of frame upon request)...

Very fine condition, printed on a wove type paper. The subject is Mile Moreno who played in the Comedie Francaise show this image was created and printed in 1898

This is an original hand-colored, mid 19th century lithograph print by the iconic American ornithologist and naturalist artist JOHN J. AUDUBON, from the nineteenth century (circa 1849) quadrupeds mammals series in the small octavo size. It is not a late restrike/reprint. Inside the present mat, dimensions are 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" (13" by 15 1/2" as framed). The title is "Carolina Shrew" and this is Plate number 75 in the long series...

Note the elegant gray-brown colors and the blue and white highlights...

This is a pre-1900, fine original oil by J.F. Herring. Overall with frame it measures 42” by 30”. The painting itself is 36” by 24”. It is fully signed J.F. Herring.

A 19th century English oil on canvas painting, 23" by 36", (offered unframed, even if the inappropriate style frame shows in the images), apparently unsigned, the subject the Edinburgh to London Royal Mail coach pulled by four horses, as it passes through a town. The work is in the style made famous by English artist Charles Cooper Henderson (1803-1877). The handsome coach, staffed by two coachmen, is shown in considerable detail...
