Jean Baptiste Camille Corot 1796-1875 French This is a fine rich impression of the well known Corot etching Souvenir of Italy, this was first created in 1863, and printed in three states, including later ones with the publishers information at the bottom edge of the sheet. This one does not have that so may be an earlier or possibly later impression. The image measures 12 9/16X9 3/8 inches, printed on an antique laid type paper. Very fine condition, matted not framed...

A pleasing watercolor painting of a small sail boat on a lake, trees beyond, painted in an impressionist hand. Unfortunately the talented artist did not sign the work, which is laid down on a card. Framing circa mid 1960's included the old fashioned detail-dulling non-glare glass which should be discarded. The work measures 14" by 10" inside the mat and 19 1/2" by 14 1/2" framed...

Antique hand-colored Italian engraving, the sheet 13 1/2" by 10" (15 3/4" by 12 1/4" framed), titled "IL MANGABEL". This is a work of the noted Italian engraver LUIGI RADOS (1773-1840). Rados studied engraving in Milan. He was the father of Eugene and Giovanni, who also went on to excellence in the profession...

Gouache on paper still life with iris and porcelain figurine of a woman, 20" by 15 1/2" and narrow gold frame of the period, signed at lower left with what appears to be "g. r. becker", and bearing in German script a Christmas (Weihnachten) 1941 dedication, the work apparently given as a gift, on the reverse framing paper. I do not see a listing for a name that would match this signature so am offering this as a decorative work...

It is signed in pencil by the artist lower right and is numbered 122/275. From 1974. Al Hirschfeld was an important American artist, cartoonist, and illustrator, best remembered for his Sunday New York Times art and leisures covers.

The image measures 7 1/4X10 1/8 inches. Signed in a sepia ink lower border, printed on an antique laid type paper, identified in the artists hand as from 1753. This image is numbered as LXVI. Printed with a brown toned ink. Some toning from an early window mat but does not affect the image area...

A rather elegant landscape painting with a modern feeling, the predominating colors subdued yet elegant grays and earth tones, signed rather illegibly with a European hand at lower right corner and dated there 53. The unframed work on canvas measures 23 1/2" by 31 1/2". Signature looks something like "Oltarini" or "Ott....." or "Ult....." but despite years of trying to figure this out I have not succeeded...

**ONE OF TWO WORKS BY THIS ARTIST IN MY SHOP** This is a mixed media work on paper, (watercolor and gouache) 8 1/2" by 12", 16" by 19 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right in pencil by the artist "J Cl Imbert". The landscape scene includes a few trees and a small river rendered in subdued colors. Thee primary medium is watercolor but there are tiny spots of gouache, and possibly charcoal in the tree branches, and scratching technique. No foxing or damage.
