This is an original oil on canvas by American Marine artist Marshall Johnson. This view of a Sailboat in a stormy sea. This painting measures 14X18 inches. It is clearly signed lower left corner. It came to us in what appears to be the original turn of the century picture frame. The painting is in superb condition, no evidence of any repairs or inpainting...
A French painting on Masonite of orchids, in a detailed, "fool the eye" ("trompe l'oeil" as it's known in French) style, 9" by 7" (18 1/2" by 16" in circa 1950's quality closed-corner gold framing), signed rather illegibly at lower right in the wet paint. For some time I have attempted to decipher this signature but have come up short. Obviously the painter is skilled; note the detailed and realistic water droplets on the flowers...
Oil on paper of Mudge Pond on Blum's Farm painted by Margaret E Rosenberg, living artist of New York City, flourished from c. 1970 - 2000. Painted with dark earthy tones with sophisticated interpretation of pond. Signed lower left, with title and signature on matting upon which painting is mounted. Framed for either wall or table mounting. Very good condition.

This is a rare early drypoint etching by British artist Stanley Anderson. The title is: Perivale, a small town outside of London. This etching was created and printed in 1911. The image measures 5 3/4X9 5/8 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower border and titled lower left border. Printed on a medium weight watermarked with initials, laid type sheet. Fine use of plate tone in the sky area.
Original oil painting on board by Michael Aloysius Sarisky (Ohio, 1906-1974), mid-century, in excellent condition, signed l.r. 31" by 28". Michael Sarisky is known as a WPA mural artist. He exhibited regularly at the Cleveland Museum of Art's May shows and this museum still holds 3 of his works. We currently have two works on paper by this artist also available.

India ink on card drawing of a Spanish-California style home, the card 8" by 13 1/2", (plus surrounding simple mat, no glass/frame, hinged at top edge inside the mat), signed on reverse and dated mid-1922, by listed artist CHARLES VOORHIES (1901-1970). Note the 1922 rubber stamps on the back showing this was created at the University of California Architectural Dept., (Berkeley), in that year, while the artist was just a student. Voorhies was born in Portland, Oregon...
