This is an original engraving by French artist Jean Emile Laboureur. This engraving was created and printed in 1920. One of 6 pencil signed impressions prior to publication in L'Architectures in an edition of 500 unsigned impressions. The image measures 11 5/8X8 1/8 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower left. Very nicely framed with a linen matting. This is one of his largest images done in his distinctly cubist style.

India ink on card drawing of a Spanish-California style home, the card 8" by 13 1/2", (plus surrounding simple mat, no glass/frame, hinged at top edge inside the mat), signed on reverse and dated mid-1922, by listed artist CHARLES VOORHIES (1901-1970). Note the 1922 rubber stamps on the back showing this was created at the University of California Architectural Dept., (Berkeley), in that year, while the artist was just a student. Voorhies was born in Portland, Oregon...

A small unframed oil on Masonite painting, 8" by 10", signed at lower left indecipherably, the work a fantasy landscape painted very much in the style of acclaimed California artist Eyvind Earle (1916-2000). The neon green sunlit strip, the surreal shadows cast by rocks there, the bare tree, the hillside, all are reminiscent of Earle's work. A silvery frame might work on this. Surface is a bit dusty, and heavily varnished. There are some very light drips of something at right center.
Miniature size watercolor painting of two old structures along a fence line in the fall, 5" by 5 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right "Davis F. Schwartz". The watercolor probably dates to the 1930's or 1940's. Schwartz (1879-1969) has a sizable listing in Hughes' "Artists in California 1786-1940". A small unframed watercolor painting of an early adobe structure of Northern California, similar to the historical, rare structures that may be seen today around the plaza in Sonoma, 7" by 9 1/2", signed at lower right by listed artist JEAN G. WALFORD (1875-1938). Walford was born in England, but was in Berkeley by 1917. She ran an art gallery until her passing in 1938. The watercolor came from an old Bay Area collection.
