Mashiko-ware kyusu (side-handled teapot), new. A finely crafted artisan ware in the tradition of Mashiko folk pottery. The orange-brown "kaki" glaze is a staple of traditional Mashiko ware that is used infrequently these days. It is made from the locally mined Oya stone. Drips of Mashiko-guro (Mashiko black) adorn the shoulders of the pot. Volume is 3 cups/750ml. H.4.5"(11.5cm) x W.7.5"(19cm.) Composed of oxidized curved oval panels with identical raised designs of a feline, probably a mountain lion, on a background of raised wavy lines. The bracelet is well made, and the connecting links show little wear and no areas of stress. The oxidation is substantially intact. The bracelet is marked only Mexico 925. It measures 8 inches long, including the jump ring and toggle chain, by 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 27.2 grams

Formed as a pectoral, composed of a molten and forged wire chain and a sizable pendant with three drops. The top of the pendant is set with two cabochon amethysts. The back of the pendant shows unintelligible marks in addition to what appears to be a 925 for silver content; the pendant and chain test definitively for sterling. The necklace measures 15 ½ inches long when clasped; the pendant measures 3 1/8 inches wide by 4 ¾ inches long. Gross weight: 79.3 grams
