Measuring 8 1/2 inches wide x 11 3/4 inches long, this brightly colored, all original, copyright 1931, Little Black Sambo Puzzle by acclaimed American children's illustrator, Fern Bisel Peat, is in very good condition! This very rarely-found puzzle attracts additional interest due to the unusual, geometric, highly angular cut of the individual puzzle pieces- suggesting a very strong Art Deco influence!

Vintage celluloid windup carousel toy featuring chicks that bob up and down from windows, a bit chick that spins around amid twirling bells and celluloid flowers, all under a pink celluloid canopy. Marked "Japan". Circa 1950. Excellent condition; the canopy droops just a bit, probably from being in a box for too long; windup mechanism works. 7-1/4" tall.

This is the Santa or Jack Frost in a curved pinecone (Type I) ornament. This variation is more uncommon and has more detail than the Type II variation. Excellent paint (except some wear to white beard) and silvering. No chips or cracks. 3-3/4" long.

A set of six (6) silver plated spoons by Christofle (France). They appear to be a variant of unknown usage of dessert spoons - they measure 6 3/8" in length. The pattern looks like Fidelio, but I have not seen this spoon in Fidelio before. They are in perfect condition - they were given as a gift quite a few years back and were never used, just polished occasionally. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they are, but I would be happy to add it to the description if anyone would care to email...

Offered is a rarely found, Ca 1890s, celluloid and brass mourning brooch featuring a handsome, young African American man.

Housed in an ornate, brass frame, the mourning pin measures 1 1/8th inch in diameter.

The celluloid image is quite crisp with some staining evident in left lower and side edges that do not obstruct the gentleman's image. The magnified photos emphasize this staining to a much greater degree than what is evident when viewed with just the naked eye...
