Beautiful circa 600CE to 700CE Pyu coins. The larger coin has a srivatsa (temple), on one side and celestial symbol and rising sun, on the other- 1/2 unit sterling quality silver. This coin has been punctured and at one time had small silver loop soldered to it. The smaller one, also pierced, has a bhadrapitha – pedestal for a deity and srivatsa, and is from Sri Ksetra. ¼ unit D: 8mm. These we acquired from Golden Triangle Hill Tribe who still these use these in their jewelry...

Published by Grossman ( div. of Viking Press) in 1975,this hard cover features black and white photos of various styles of antique New England homes. The jacket is quite worn, the paste down has some tanning and the title page has foxing otherwise the book is in nice,tight condition. An excellent resource.

Moroccan stromatolite fossil well preserved in a nice red sandstone believed to be from from Kem Kem beds and date from the cretaceous period .These microbial fossils are one of Earth's earliest records of life. The earliest known stromatolite fossils are between 3.5 - 2.75 billion years old in the Precambrian period. The blue-green algae in these early colonies were important in creating Earth's current oxygen atmosphere. Size 4.5" by 3" by and weighs .06 pounds
An excellent pictorial reference book with an interesting specialty focusing exclusively on figures: The book covers figures from virtually all the Japanese ceramic disciplines including Imari, Kutani, Sastuma, Hirado, Banko, and Sumida, with a very nice and useful final section on Japanese marks. There are over 200 color photos all of which are quite excellent...

A fine black and white classic photo of Edward ("Ted") Kennedy, 1932-2009, United States senator from Massachusetts for almost 47 years, brother of President John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, hand signed and inscribed in ink, in the collar area: "To Ronald with this appreciation for your good work in August campaign/Ted Kennedy". (Last words difficult to decipher but this is my best guess of those final words)...
