A sparkly rainbow Silicon Carbide specimen. Rainbow Carborundum is a crystal, with black spiked crystals, gorgeous rainbow-like luster, iridescent colors of green, blues, purple, pink, yellow, etc. The brown to black color results from iron impurities. Carborundum is known to be a master healer and a type of semi conductor.

Published in 1977 by Barron's,Woodbury, NY... an illustrated hard cover with dustjacket. The jacket shows light wear, and there is some tanning along the border however the book itself is fine. No script. 102 pps.

A rare first edition of Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) book "A Tramp Abroad", as found in apparently scarce original leather covers rather than the more commonly seen cloth. The book has the ad after page 631 and "Moses" rather than "Titian's Moses" in the frontispiece, indicating an early state. I am not a book specialist so am pointing out characteristics that I see suggest rarity and early state...

A hard cover with blue boards embossed with faint gilt lettering and design. Published by Alfred Knopf New York 1946 and translated from the Icelandic by J.A. Thompson.The boards show some wear on the edges and staining otherwise in good condition.

A sepia toned silver print of a Bedouin shepherd with his flock grazing on sparsely covered ground below a hill. In the lower right corner is the blind stamp, “American Colony/Jerusalem.” The original dates from around 1920 and this would appear to be a print of roughly that age. The Number 161 is stamped on the back. The photograph is 8 ¼ x 11 ¼ inches includes a thin margin.

Condition: excellent...

An albumen photograph titled in the center of the lower edge, “Loch Killean Nr Strathepeffer” with the number 11,780 and the initials GWW for George Washington Wilson (Scottish 1823–1893). The photo shows a horse and buggy with driver in the lower right and the Loch stretching out in the distance. The photograph has been T-mounted and is matted. The image is 7 5/16 by 11 3/8 inches 18.6 x 28.9 cm). The mat is 14 x 17 inches (35.5 x 43.2 cm)...

In the blank left hand area, the artist wrote in French "Pour Jane Kroc, con touti saluti (avec mon coeur!), and signed by the artist and dated "Ott. 1971"...
