Antique Chinese Brown Glazed Han Dynasty style pots probably Tang Dynasty .
A unique pair of mini pots in the style of the classic Han dynasty shaped green glazed burial urns. These have a rim band inscription as well as a design at the shoulder the foot is glazed with spur marks in what appears to be a Tang brown glaze. Size 2.75" by 1.75" Period unknown may be Tang period.

Lovely pair of small Chinese ginger jars measuring only 5.5 inches high including finial and 3.5" in diameter. They feature a beautiful crackle glaze with a polychrome scene depicting warriors in the Battle of the 3 Kingdoms. These jars were last used as a antique decorative item on top of a diminutive slant top writing desk in a NYC Park Avenue Apartment before the family retired to NC.

Large green stoneware model of a standing horse, done in Tang style, covered in a rich crackled green glaze, on an integral rectangular base. The base is unusual having a central piercing & being built up rather than simply flat as in the originals.

Size: 16-1/2" high by 17" length
Condition: Good overall condition, some small areas of chipping and one corner on the base has a chip. On the upper back of the horse is the remains of a Jian Ding seal.

Condition: There is some wear to the glaze and slight chipping. I am not sure if one of the ears on the lions has been repaired or if the yellow glaze covering has just chipped away.

An antique Chinese seal chop of soapstone with an image of Hotei. Chinese seals are used with red ink or cinnabar paste (zhusha). A seal in an East is a general name for printing stamps and impressions which are used in lieu of signatures in personal documents, office paperwork, contracts, art, or any item requiring acknowledgement or authorship. The process started in China and soon spread across East Asia.

A large shiwan (shekwan) sculpture of an Aesthetic riding a pomegranate red foo lion. The glaze is thick and glass-like with a natural crackle that only comes from age. The clay’s color and some ash residue (a good thing) indicate that this piece was fired in a dragon kiln about 5 - 15 miles upstream from Foshan.
