1930's Japanese Silver Inlaid Bronze Teapot Tetsubin with Relief Flowers and Shishi Finial

The teapot is 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall (handle up), and 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide. It is 1120 gram.

It has oxidation, loss of patina and surface scratches (as seen in the photos).

This bowl is designed with a granular white painting called 'Shiro (white)-Chibu, which is very rare in Kutani. (Ao (blue)-Chibu was made more often. Please take a look on an Ao-Chibu Tea Bowl - our item # 0188)

Beside the Shiro-Chibu there is a golden arabesque design, which is called Kin-Karakusa.

This is an imposing early 19th century Kakiemon style porcelain vase of Japanese origin inspired by a 17th century model currently valued in excess of $700,000. A piece similar to the original dated 1680 from the Blenheim Palace collection was exhibited at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford in 1989.

21" in height, this vase is well enameled with three identical garden scenes separated with bands of blue flowering vines.

It is 9.1 inches (23.2 cm) tall by 10.8 inches (27.5 cm) wide measured with stand and 7.65 inches (19.5 cm) tall by 9.7 inches (24.7 cm) wide measured without stand. It is 3.9 Lb.

It has skip glazes, dark spots, firing cracks, a small chip at the bottom, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)
