Indian Jain bronze figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his knee. Six other figures are present including 2 attendants on the bottom. The figure on the bottom is their friend and vehicle, Garuda. Incised with writing on the base and back.

A 19th century Chinese canopy lacquered bed of cypress and elmwood (ju-mu). The bed rail has a turned spindle gallery with a low relief carving of scrolling floral panels as the back splash. The canopy spandrel has turned hook-spindles for holding drapes or clothing. The main canopy lattice pattern has a centralized floral medallion. A Chinese Bronze Censer, Qing Dynasty. Diameter approximately 15.6 cm (across handles), height approximately 6 cm and weight approximately 610 gram. The censer has a dent at the base. Good condition. This is a lovely rosewood music box with a cylinder that plays six tunes. The cylinder can be replaced and others added, but we only have this one for the box. There is no list of the songs it plays, but it has one of the loveliest sounds of any music box we've had. It measures 27 1/2" long x 11 3/4" wide x 8" tall.

An earthenware terracotta bottle vase and stopper. The vase is decorated with transfer printed "famille rose" enamels depicting flowers birds and marine life. This item was made by Watcombe pottery, Torquay, which was operational from 1869 to 1883. The base carries the impressed date mark for October 1878. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the footrim (please view enlargements) and a tiny chip to the underside of the cover; there are also minor losses to the enamels...
