Baby's yogi which is one kind of bed cloth, a top cover in the shape of kimono. It has cotton cloth with katazome (stencil-resist-dye) for outside and indigo cotton for the lining. It has thick cotton inside for warmth and was used in the cold district or in winter. It is from Fukushima prefecture in Tohoku district. In good condition but has some light stains in the wrists and mending patches in the top shoulder. The first half of the 20th century. 92cm x 88cm

A vintage Japanese contemporary low Mizuya Tansu made from solid Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Two sliding doors open to a spacious storage area. Three side by side drawers along the bottom with Hikute iron handles. Taiko drum nail heads decorate the sliding doors and horizontal side bars add structural strength as well as aesthetic beauty to the chest.

A sitting lady in Heian era court dress and hair, clutching a giant golden matsudake mushroom. She wears a bright red hakama and light blue kimono. The shape of the mushroom has a close resemblance to a penis and the sculpture definitely has an erotic meaning.

Rare sterling silver baby rattle featuring an etched inscription, depicting birth date, a clock motif signifying birth time, and birth weight. Excellent vintage condition
1940’s French ormolu filigree gold gilt display box casket with putti, angels. An unusual shaped round casket that tapers down to rest on 4 delicate feet. Featuring pinkish amber beveled glass panels with 6 oval side panels flanked on each side with standing putti, arms raised. A nice larger size measuring 7.5” diameter x 5.25" high, it is in near perfect original condition with just few age spots on the lining.
This was the traditional jacket used by girls of the Yi Chinese ethnic Minority. Girls wore this style until they were married. This garment is small and was most likely worn by a child between 7-10 years old.
Condition considered good...intricate batik work, original silver buttons,hand embroidered detailing around collar,front closure,sleeve and bottom borders...
