Offered is this pair of Le Verre Francais (Schneider), French cameo glass vases, made around 1920. The vases are 7 1/4 inches (18,5 cm) and 7 inches (18 cm) tall respectively - as in most hand-made items, there is a slight variation in sizes. Both are signed with etched signatures. Except for a chip in the foot of one vase (see last picture), both vases are in good condition.

A fine vintage cutwork Roden sterling silver napkin ring. Roden was bought out by Birks in 1928. This 5/8" wide napkin ring measures 1-11/16" across the interior and it has a Janie monogram. It is stamped STERLING with the Roden company mark. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several decades after. A work of studio pottery, found in Southern California, the color a rich earthy brown, the vessel pierced intentionally by the artist to create naturalistic openings, similar to the distinctive style of Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). The piece measures 7 1/2" high by 5" diameter. The piece is signed on the bottom "Balvin 79". Surprisingly I do not see a studio potter by this name, but the artist was obviously talented and also familiar with Voulkos' acclaimed work.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. The decorative glass shade hung from 3 bead chains, and could be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the room and height of the ceiling. 16094272 A Carder era Steuben Verre de Soie cologne bottle with a light blue jade stopper. The bottle is shown as shape 1988 in the Steuben factory line drawings and is 7 3/4 inches tall with the stopper. There is a polished pontil mark but the bottle is unsigned as was normal on most Verre de Soie items.

This set came from Mr.deLillo's personal archives. The necklace is 3" wide, inside circumference is 12 1/2". Clip earrings are 1 1/4" in diameter...

Like a Venice evening, this amazing murrine lamp rediates a soft, colorful ambiance when lit. The brass parts have a nice aged patina. The lamp had to be re-wired, as the original 90 year old vintage wire was frayed. Otherwise, the lamp remains in its original pristine condition and is an amazing example of the skill of the Murano Glassblowers. The lamp is documented in "Catalogo a stampa Fratelli Toso, 1920 ca",page 41.

This lovely rolled rim console bowl may be by Tiffin Glass. It is a soft, satin heather-green with embossed fish and stylized waves surrounding the rim. This bright centerpiece bowl sits on a finished satin collar foot and measures 10 1/2" across. It is in very good condition and would brighten any dining table. I have other Tiffin and elegant glassware in my inventory... take a peek. Insurance and confirmation are included in the price.

This porcelain miniature tureen was produced in Hungary by Herend in 1976. It is a commemorative piece celebrating 150 years of production by Herend. It measures 5 1/4 inches across the handles and is 3 3/4 inches high. It is made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The piece is decorated with garlands of stylized corn flowers and foliage. Found in Freeport, Maine, this is a PAIR of circa 1870 American drawings, (possibly a bit earlier), the first of General George Washington on a prancing horse, the second of a cut glass compote overflowing with fruit. Each measures 11 3/4" by 8 3/4" inside the mats, 16" by 12" overall, one of the mats deep maroon, the other, black. They are unframed, taped on the reverse to the mats at the edges...

Terrific Gorham silverplate figural shot glass in the form of an early American leather fire bucket. The front side is enameled with the emblem of the Chicago Fire Department surrounded with the words “Little Giant Engine Co. 1871”. The back side is modeled to show the leather handle. The bottom is marked “Gorham EP YC3098 CAP 3oz.” Origin: America, ca. 1955. Condition: excellent, no dings, minute wear to enamel on word "Fire Dept". Size: 2-3/4” tall.

Fenton made many different shapes in the blue opalescent hobnail color. Made in the 1950's, this 5.5" squat vase is in mint condition.

This stylized interpretation of a waterbird illustrates the inspiration that the environment of the Venetian Lagoon has provided for centuries of artists. The waterbird sculpture is done in sommerso, with wine red blending masterfully into light cobalt blue. I have seen this design attributed to both Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini. The waterbird is in good condition, no chips at the feet, polished base, unmarked.
