This old ceramic tray/plate is made for the Straits Chinese Community, it is of the typical pheonix design. It is an example of the nyonya ware, handpainted and used for serving tea. It is not in good condition as there are small cracks and hairlines on the four corner and lots of scratches all over the surface. Please ask for more photos....

Absolutely Beautiful French Louis XV style gilt bronze champleve and enamel porcelain covered Urn, great delicate enamel work, high quality hand painting on porcelain depicting two playful children surrounded by floral motif on one side and on the oposit beautiful scenery and foliage. The height of the Urn is 12 inches, from early 20th century era and in perfect condition.

Horseshoe is the collector's name for Indiana Glass Company's pattern No. 612. Produced from 1930 to 1933, it's a lovely pattern that's as popular today as it was when it was first made. Offered here is the sugar bowl in yellow. Excellent condition. See my other listings for more in this pattern.

Sterling Silver modernist bowl by Alfredo Sciarrotta (Italian-American 1907-1985), in sleek biomorphic form on open work scrolled foot, signed on bottom. Measures 9" wide, 3 1/4" high, and 4 1/2" wide. Nice heavy quality, all hand crafted, very subtle and lovely shape to body of bowl, on lovely scrolled foot rim with S shaped sections. Sciarrotta was born in Italy, moved to the US in 1943 due to his expertise and experience with underwater technology and assistance to the US Navy...

Description: Very rare and well crafted Persian hand made silver cup, depicting Reza Shah Pahlavi, the founder of Pahlavi dynasty on the front and on the side are Sassanian king Anoosheh Ravan and ancient symbol of archaemennid dynasty. The central figures are surrounded on the upper and lower section with the script commemorating the crowning of Reza Shah. The cup is dated 1311 AH which is 1931. This interesting vase has a notch in it making it look a little like Pac Man, but giving it a very distinct form. However, we believe that it was created in a studio by excellent ceramicists who decorated the vase with free flowing green and blue glazes. One side has a stack of incised chevrons running down the center. The underside is marked with what appears to be W NZ VI, marks whose identity elude us...
