Offered is a very handsome apothecary MORTAR & PESTLE from the 19th century made from lignum vitae wood.

This stunning example measures 11.5 inches high with the pestle in place and is 5.5 inches in diameter. The bulbous pestle is 10.5 inches long and sports sculpted turnings.

The condition is very good with mild wear and loss to the finish, various unobtrusive edge chips and slight hairline splits to the mortar and pestle.

This is a high end sterling silver with 24K gold overlay travel razor set. Made for Thomae Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts, the Gillette razor features a telescopic handle with a head that unscrews. The small tube case has 2 small replacement screws inside. There is room for monogramming on the box. In excellent condition, the box with contents inside measures 2" long, 1.25" wide, and 1.25" high/deep. The was a very expensive set in its day. Reading "SAFETY FIRST" "EMERGENCY SHOWER EYE BATH", this green, white and black painted sign dates to the 1950's and was likely meant for use in either a professional or academic laboratory.

The sign measures 14 inches wide x 10 inches high, and is quite bright and visually appealing.

This painted metal sign remains in fine condition with minor surface scratching, tiny areas of paint loss and tiny areas of superficial rusting, all as noted in photos.
