算盘 - 中華民國 A Hong Mu Suanzhi Abacus (suanpan), RuYi brand, the brass plate shows an address and telephone number in Hong Kong. Not certain of where it is made. First half of the 20C as the telephone number is only 5 digits. Dimensions: 36 x 18 x 2.7

Vintage pair of cut jadeite pieces to be used as Chinese scholar’s scroll weights. Stone of olive green color with natural lines and differently colored veins, sides showing the skin of the boulder from which the pieces were cut. Nicely polished, very pleasing objects for a scholar’s desk. Height (left one of the first photo) 2 11/16 inches, weight of the left one 265 grams (9.4 ounces), the right one 210 grams (7.4 ounces).

Vintage Chinese scholar’s incense burner in a form of a wooden burl hollowed on the inside and placed on fitted dense dark wood carved stand. Can be used as a scholar’s stone or a brush rest as well. Superbly beautiful burl surface and shape perfectly resembling violently swirling clouds, excellent patina, can be displayed in various positions giving extra visual value to the piece. Cleverly cut openings in the skirt of the stand providing necessary draft for burning incense...

A cast iron beast, probably a tiger. The elongated shape of the animal, the size, the sagging of the back, suggest that it is a brush rest. There are a lot of modern cast iron copies, which may be the case here, but we can certify that this little tiger has been in the Sakura collection for at least forty years, which proves nothing. Sculpture smal but powerfull. Good condition. Length: 85mm The price is depending on the doubt.
