This Chinese yixing teapot was handcrafted in 80' but has a nice old shape with a patina purple clay color. It's in excellent condition with the imprint of the artist signature "Ding Shan Ren".

He sits in a royal ease position, sporting his usual jolly facial expression, and holds a string of prayer beads in his right band over his belly, with his cloth sack in his left hand, in which he is said to reside. This BaLin stone carving is a 1970’~1980’s product. It is 3 1/4” high, 3” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a dragon playing with a fire globe surrounded by lucky clouds. BaLin stone is produced in Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia. The mine was found and developed in the mid-20th century. Now, BaLin stone has become one of the principal materials for making seal stone or stone carving in China. This carving is in great condition.

This very nicely molded mid 20th century Guan-Yin statue is 9 5/8” high, 5 ¼” wide and 2 ½” thick. It depicts Guan-Yin holding a Ruyi seated on a lotus surrounded rock. A basket containing fish sits on her left side and three fish hold her right sleeve. The artist’s seal is on the back of her robe. Aside from a small chip from a fish tail, it is in great condition.

A cast iron beast, probably a tiger. The elongated shape of the animal, the size, the sagging of the back, suggest that it is a brush rest. There are a lot of modern cast iron copies, which may be the case here, but we can certify that this little tiger has been in the Sakura collection for at least forty years, which proves nothing. Sculpture smal but powerfull. Good condition. Length: 85mm The price is depending on the doubt.

This old panel is thickly Dazi embroidered in a banded pattern to reflect the terraced mountains sides of the Miao homeland. The panel uses lovely soft pinks and grays which are not adequately represented in the pictures. A beautiful piece in beautiful condition. 80 years old from Ge Yi. approx 21" x 23"
