This is a very old dhyandro drum handle showing a very thick encrusted soot aptina. The design of the sculpture clearly indicates a Buddhist influence, in fact the shape of the Makala trunk turned upward is a characteristic of Buddhist phurbus, the central part is a dorgi wrapped with heavily fouled cloth strips. This dhynadri handle was collected in the Kirong Valley (inside Tibet)...
This large sized ghurra is also nice carving on both size, a Horseman and an elephant on the other side.
