Old mask carved in a very hard wood depicting a benevolent expression face covered with a beautiful and thick black patina. Not remains of animal hairs or horsehair that represented the hairiness of the eyebrows, moustache and chin. Three nails on the forehead were supposed to retain a fragment of leather. Vintage brass “puja kalash” water or milk container used in ritual Hindu ceremonies from Southern India, H: 13cm/5.1in x D: 12cm/4.8in. Very finely turned in a simple but elegant shape and quite heavy, near 1kg- and signed (noted in enlargements), appears to be unused but with some patina- made circa mid 20th century.

It is 27.95 inches (71 cm) in circumference by 12.8 inches (32.5 cm) long. . The lapis lazuli beads range from 10.8 mm to 12.27 mm wide. The coral beads range from 11.8 mm to 13.45 mm wide. The total weight is 101.5 gram.

This carved amethyst double snuff bottle is a mid 20th century product. It is 3” high, 2 ¼” wide and 1” thick. One of the snuff bottles is a leaping carp. The other is a vase surround by lotus leaves and lotus blossoms. The top is a pair of intertwined birds. Ocean waves support both bottles. The two spoons are later replacements. The flaked composition of the crystal has left a small chip on the rim of the vase. Aside from this small imperfection, it is in great condition.

Black patina mask with an elongated slightly concave shape, the design is minimal with however particular attention to the mouth. Likely a wild mask from Humla area. Good age at least early to mid 20th. Very hard Hardwood, H 36cm
