Sambaso dancer with the typical high hat (striped eboshi) with a sun disc (round circle) on each side. In his left hand he holds suzu jingle bells; his right hand, on his back, holds a fan. Single block carving (ichiboku); keyaki (zelkova) wood, carved in a faceted way, resembling ittobori, and stained dark brown.

This lovely album was attributed to Ishihara Matsuyoshi 石原松芳, signed in 昭和庚辰年 (1940).
28 spreads (56 pages) in total, and 27 paintings in one album. Subjects from birds, flowers, mythologies, still life, figures to landscapes, a glimpse of the artist's rich spiritual world.
Signed with two seals on each painting.
Very good condition, no big damage except for the aging paper.
A finely painted famille rose dish depicting a misty landscaping. Mid-20th century. The original mark had been ground and a "Hong Kong" stamp was added. Other than this, the dish is in perfect condition. Diameter: 13".

This is a piece of noh drama costume which is called "Choken". Choken is made of silk gauze or weft silk gauze with woven designs with gold and colored threads. It is worn by a dancer or noble man in the noh stage. This choken has woven design of Hagi ( Japanese clover ) and Nadeshiko ( Dianthus ) with gold threads. This is beautiful and classy Japanese Shunkei Lacquer Fubako (stationary box) with fine Japanse Brocade design with flower and karakusa design. Inside has lavender color velvet inside cover as well as inside bottom. The condition of Fubako excellent. It never been used. There is no warping. No scratch and wear. It has the date on the back of box Showa 54. (1979) Sept. 6th. It said as the appreciation of many long years working...

Vintage Chinese Gilt Silver Filigree Jadeite & Tourmaline Bracelet
It is 5.35 inches (13.6 cm) in inner circumference by 1.18 inches (3 cm) wide. The bead is 17.4 mm-19.4 mm. It is 42.2 gram.
The jadeite and tourmaline have inclusions and surface wears. The silver is tarnished and has minor loss of gilding (as seen in the photos).

The fabric on this small purse from Bamiyan is cotton, solidly worked in brick stitch in silk thread, the colors alternating between celadon, pink, orange and red. Circa early to mid 20th century. The interlocking rhomboid design and hooked diamonds are typical of Hazara embroidery. This purse measures 10.5 x 18.5 cm when opened, 8 x 10.5 cm when closed.
