An unusually large Tetsu-mon Vase by Ningen Kokuho Shimizu Uichi over 13 inches (33 cm) tall enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Dispersed over the pin-holed white glaze are diametrically opposed red and black iron dashes of color. A vase with huge presence. Shimizu Uichi (1926-2004) was born in Kyoto the son of a ceramic dealer. Discarding the family business he apprenticed in plastic arts under Ishiguro Munemaro...

Chinese antique six lobed deep stoneware bowl. Covered all over in a buff colour celadon glaze. Straight circular foot ring.
Size: Approximately 6-7/8" diameter by 2-3/4" high
Condition: Overall in very good condition. There is one chip on the foot ring. The base of the bowl holds the remnants of three kiln firing stints.

Pair of Korean black lacquer over brass vases with mother-of-pearl inlay. The brass is re-purposed from unused artillery shells and the vases are heavier than one would expect. One of the rim looks a little irregular, but the were purchased in Japan, as is, in the first half of the 20th Century. They measure about 7 inches high.

Pair of Chinese mirror image porcelain lantern vases painted in qianjiang enamels showing a scholar and his student in a garden setting with the student offering the scholar a flower branch. There is writing on each vase in black and on the base is a six character mark in iron red.
Condition of these vases is good with no chips or breaks. The black writing has faded.
