Cotton cloth with shibori (tie-dye) seigaiha (waves) pattern and dyed with akane (madder). In excellent condition but akane color is faded and one mending patch and a few tiny holes. The first half of the 20th century. 35cm x 136cm

This Uzbek suzani from northern Afghanistan dates to the mid 20th century or later and measures 76 x 99 cm including the fringes. The textile is hand-embroidered in silk thread in vivid colors on a green rayon ground with copper encrustations throughout, and edged on two sides with crocheted silk fringe. Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead of dark blue glass with flower shaped swirls of tan and white. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Very well made, in perfect condition. Height 9/16 inches.

Japanese pottery tsubo vase. An earthy, drab gray-green glaze on porcelaneous body with thin iron wash and with bold, rich red iron oxide glaze painted floral decoration on opposing sides of the tsubo form with thickly potted shoulder rising to a broad, everted rim. Two character impressed artist's mark inside the foot appears to read Kazan ('Ka' being the 10 stroke character also read as "hana".) A pleasant, substantial feel when held. Excellent condition. Height, 9 3/4 inches (24.76 cm)

This carved jadeite Guan-Yin is holding a vase and a string of prayer beads. It is 1 ¾ inches long. It is carved on both sides and a small hole has been drilled for a bale. It is in good condition.

An old mythical Dragon Horse necklace with low grade silver engraved balls, carved turquoise beads, natural coral branches accented by white and green jade hoops on a braided silk cord. Looking as though it were cast from molten rock, this chawan has a very earthy and primal feel to it. The rich clay shows through in places hinting of ochre, yellow, and even a subtle metallic blue—cleverly mimicking the way mineral formations appear in nature...

This very well carved and polished horn carving of a Zun (Chinese traditional libation wine vessel) is an early or mid - 20th century product. It is 5 ½” high, 6 ½” wide and 3 ½” thick (both measured from the top), the round bottom is 2” in diameter. Twelve stylized Bixie (辟邪) and different ritual bronze patterns were deeply carved into the entire body. The artist’s name is illegibly carved on the bottom. It is in great condition.

Japanese framed woodblock print by artist Hasui Kawase (1883-1957), depicting a man walking down a cobblestone path to the beach. Markings include Hasui's red chop and signature, publisher seals in left margin, red chop in bottom left corner.
