Splashes of earthen color decorate the deep sides of this large open dish by Living National Treasure Tamura Koichi enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The bowl is 15-1/2 (39 cm) diameter, 4 inches (10.5 cm) tall. The box is worn but still sturdy, and the bowl is in perfect condition. Rare semi antique supplementary warp silk embroidery on handspun indigo cotton, blanket from the diverse Tai ethnic group Vietnam/Laos. I collected this in Chiang Mai around 12 years ago and would date it around 40 to 80 years old. Nowadays you just can’t find this sort of textile anymore. Some embroidery losses and a hole along the edge (noted in enlargements) but overall in very good condition. Dimensions: 84cm/33in x 145cm/57in.
Very old face mask, of oval form, with minimalist cubistic features typical of this area. Strongly eroded wood, age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 31 cm. Mounted on a custom stand. Provenance: acquired in situ early 20th century, ex old Dutch collection.

Japanese framed print by sosaku-hanga artist Haku Maki (1924-2000) titled "Collection 46 (B)". Depiction of a white tea bowl in relief against a black ground, with a black leaf design. Signed in pencil with red artist's cartouche, dated 1980, number 92/240.

This vintage purse from Afghanistan is worked in a variation of ladder stitch and Bukhara couching to form repeating whorl and volute motifs. Silk and metallic thread are embroidered on a green polyester ground. The purse feature two inside pockets lined with red printed cotton, with the outer edges fringed with blue glass seed beads to protect against the evil eye. It measures 10.5 x 14 cm when closed, 13.8 x 25 cm when opened and dates to the mid or late 20th century.
A baby carrier belt made of indigo dye cotton for warp and washi (Japanese handmade paper) yarn for weft. It is made in Shonai region in Yamagata district in Tohoku. In good condition with beautiful tassels but the seam loose part in one selvedge (30cm). The first half of the 20th century. 13.5cm x 3m60cm
Chinese porcelain “birthday” bowl decorated in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights with four round medallions each containing one of the four characters “wan shou fu jiang” (wishes for a long life without end) set against a turquoise ground densely covered with scrolling lotus. A very large and impressive plaque for a bracelet of belt, with loops on the back and set with a huge torquise stone within a frame of 23 smaller torquise stones. Lovely silver work, c. mid 20th. century USA, Navaho Tribe artist. No stamps but testet as 925 sterling silver.
Size: 10,1 cm. tall and 7,4 cm. wide. The large central torquise is 6 cm. long.
Weight: 164,4 grams!
Condition: Choice and intact.

Large peach-shaped bowl decorated on in- and outside with a bold Rinpa design of flowering red, white and blue camellias and leaves. Over a cream-colored coarse stoneware a thin layer of cream-colored slip has been applied, on top of which overglaze blue, black, green, red, white enamels and gold.
On the outside in a white rectangular reserve with black outlines the signature Kenzan. Japan, 1950s.
In the style of Ogata Kenzan or Ogata Kenzan studio.

An antique aubergine Peking Glass wine cup. It is molded glass, cut/grinded with a short carved foot. Chinese glass was largely used to imitate more precious materials such as white jade, Lapis Lazuli and other valuable minerals.
