Old Chinese silk embroidered scroll of a rooster and a hen amongst flowers. The satin stitch and numerous colored silk threads were used to blend and create this work of art. In excellent condition, it measures as a scroll: 7 feet long X 26 inches.

Chinese porcelain baluster vase painted in late 'famille rose' style on a white ground with a group of Immortals resting in a landscape. The base glazed white with a six character Jiaqing mark in iron red and of the period.

4 pieces of Nara Uchiwa whose history dates back to Nara period (A.D.710~794). It began as manual side line work of the Shinto priest of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara. The traditional motifs (Tenpyo Moyo) such as peonix, deer, kylin (imaginary animal), dragon, Parrot etc. These four (originally five) were made by Ikeda Gankodo which is only existing maker of it in Nara. A Pashtun nomad's purse from Katawaz, Ghazni province, Afghanistan, circa early to mid 20th century. This purse has three pockets with flaps and features blue and white beads all around the edges (blue beads are believed to ward off the blue evil eye). Fine silk ladder stitch in blue, green, orange, purple and bergundy, depicting whorl designs on a red silk background. The stylized, radiating designs are typical of Pashtun embroidery...

This type of clay dolls are somehow all originated from the Fushimi clay doll of the Kyoto area. A whimsical ceramic figure of a stout man squatting with his hands on his hips and a blue bowl/object protruding from his belly. His bottoms have been glazed in blue with green and yellow star patterns and a red sash. The bottom has been engraved "Fujian Huiguan" (Fujian Club), "Jing De Zhen made". This is a charming baby carrier from Guang Xi which is similiar in shape to those carriers from Rao Jia region. It is made of hand-loomed cotton fabric which is hand stitched and hand embroidered with butterflies and flowers using both cotton and silk thread. The sculptural shape makes a very pleasing wall hanging. The condition of this carrier is very good.

Beautiful 4-string lute ("saranghi"), the top in the shape of a head holds the four keys, the body itself is made of two parts of heart shape. Wood, with nice dark-brown glossy patina.
