JJapan Haku Maki Green Ox & Knife This is a beautiful rare green Maki print. It was done in 1971 the cream color calligraphy is as if added after the dark green ‘”flintstone” was prepared. The calligraphy is a light green there is a wonderful white stroke at the right It is one of the many ways Maki signed off on a print. It is balanced off by a soft yellow stroke at the left poem 71 - 61

Bag made of hand spun and vegetable indigo dye cotton, with beautiful sashiko. The lining cloth is cotton which looks hand spun and has katazome (stencil-resist dye) stripes. The metal clasp works well, which is antique handmade with boat motif. Generally in good condition but has some indigo faded spots and wear in one of the corners in the bottom. The first half of the 20th century. W:29cm, L:20cm, H:3.5cm

Very beautiful dark wood phurbu richly carved, the top shows 3 beautiful faces of protective ancestors of exceptional sculptural quality, each face measures 5 to 6 cm high. The top shows a miniature animal head (1.5 cm high), probably that of the mythical horse Hayagriva. The central part is a beautiful dorgi very finely carved. I believe this to be a Jeannette hand decorated and colors fired in reverse painted lamp. If I am wrong, please email me.

The shade is 13.75" in diameter. The scene on the lamp is repeated 3 times on the shade. It is 6 1/2" tall.

The 2 socket base is cast iron covered with a felt. There are no hallmarks anywhere that I can find on the shade, the base, the cap.

The lamp stands 19 1/2" tall to the top of the finial.

There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs to this lamp...
