This is a beautiful blue and white medium size brush or joss stick stand. It is decorated with the character “shou” meaning long life in the centre, with two kui dragon with split tails to the left and right of “shou” character, and scrolling foliage all over. The sides is decorated with lotus flower and below it is a ruyi head amidst scrolling foliage. The blue and white brush or joss stick stand has a honorific Qianglong seal mark but is from the early 20th century...

This is a stunningly beautiful Hakata ningyo (doll) made by a Hakata ningyo artist. It is not one of the mass produced Hakata dolls. The softness of the colorings and detail in her kimono (in Kyoto Yuzen dye) did not fully come out in the photos. This doll was modeled after oiran, a courtesan from the Edo period, or we may simply call her Genroku bijin (a beautiful woman from Genroku era in Edo)...

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the unusual form of a large snail accompanied by a pair of baby snails. The snail is usually alone or perhaps with just one smaller one. They are worked in chrome and are set on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side gig designing entertaining barware.
