Old mask with a thick shiny black soot patina, the originality of the sculpture is based on an arrangement of rectangular shapes which fit into each other. We note 3 horizontal carved lines and a Shivaite trident crossing the forehead to represent the tika, Old traces of vermilion pigment on the forehead and old traces of glue which retain some hairs around the mouth, the ears are small and in relief on each sides of the mask. This vintage purse from Afghanistan is worked in a variation of ladder stitch and Bukhara couching to form repeating whorl and volute motifs. Silk and metallic thread are embroidered on a green polyester ground. The purse feature two inside pockets lined with red printed cotton, with the outer edges fringed with blue glass seed beads to protect against the evil eye. It measures 10.5 x 14 cm when closed, 13.8 x 25 cm when opened and dates to the mid or late 20th century.

Bashofu kimono hand-woven of ito-basho, which is a family of banana tree, for both wefts and warps. The brown stripe yarn and warp kasuri yarn are dyed with Sharinbai, a family of the rose tree. The small weft kasri yarn is dyed with Ryukyu ai, vegetable indigo in Okinawa. Bashofu has been woven in many islands in Okinawa from old days, for everyday kimono or work wear. This porcelain covered box was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1924 and 1934. It has the underglaze blue crossed swords marking with the dot on top. The box is made of the finest porcelain that the Western world has ever produced. It measures 4 ¾ inches long, 3 ¾ inches wide and 1 ¾ inches deep. An unusual pair of Chinese cloisonne vases with flowers in vases, coins (wealth), peaches (longevity), peppers, and censers on depicted in deep vibrant colors. In excellent condition, they measure 6.5" high.

A Japanese sooted bamboo boat-shaped basket designed for flower arrangements. The ship form represents a treasure ship (takarabune). The takarabune is a mythical ship piloted through the heavens by the Seven Lucky Gods carrying celestial treasures. In this case, some of earth's most beautiful treasures: its flowers. Originally, a ceramic container would be placed inside to accommodate the flower arrangement. This basket is still very usable having sturdy construction with no apparent breaks...

A beautiful, large art glass bowl, made by Kosta Boda in their 'Unica' series - it was done by Lindstrand. The bowl's coloration fades from purple-to-clear. It is 11 3/4 inches (30 cm) long and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) high. It is in fine condition (some usage scratches on bottom). Polished pontil. It is signed with acid-etching, 'Lindstrand Kosta' and is numbered, 'L.H.1001'.

This small vessel, similar in a shape to a tokkuri, is a fine example of Oni Shino (carbon trap and natural ash glazing) that Tsukigata is so well-known for. Coining the term in the mid-50’s after countless failed experiments—which ultimately culminated in the discovery of this unique style of pottery—“Oni” translates roughly to demon or ogre...
