Stunning French mahogany canoe circa 1930's. Just under 15 feet long with solid gunwales and keel. The French call these Canadian canoes although they were built in France between the 1930's-50's. This early version features 1-1/2" wide internal ribs that eliminate the need for lengthwise running boards. The hull is secured with copper and brass nails from the outside in. No damage noted, although it could probably use another coat of marine-grade varnish. Made by, “Rocca”...

Japanese vase of convex shape, Totai decoration of a bird and a butterfly among leaves and berry bushes. The motif created by thin metal threads is filled in with colored lacquer and polished. The brown lacquer background is carved as to resemble tree bark (totai). Unusual small 7 ½ inch diameter Paipoint cut glass plate with sterling silver reticulated rim. The plate is cut with Pairpoint’s pattern No 0137. as shown in “The Pairpoint Glass Knowledge Center” website. The silver rim is marked “Sterling, 5591" along with the maker’s mark of the silversmith. The plate is quite heavy for its’ size. In excellent condition.
Hazel Atlas Glass Company made Cloverleaf from 1930-36. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. Thanks for looking.
