A rare and beautiful Murano glass vase made by Barovier & Toso around 1950, in their 'Laguna Gematta' decor. The aqua-colored vase has embedded flecks of gold, which is typical of Laguna/autumno Gematta decor. The vase is 11 1/2 inches (29 cm) tall, 8 1/4 inches (21 cm) wide at the top and is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) deep. It is in fine condition, without chips, cracks or repairs (there are some usage scratches at the bottom, as expected). Polished pontil. Unsigned, as expected.

Chinese brush made of bamboo and horse hair. The handle is carved and painted with an inscription. The brush hair is horse hair. The top of the brush has a metal fitting with a ribbon hanger. It measures 13" long, the handle is 1" diameter.

A set of six Art Deco sterling silver rooster cocktail picks by Albert Sydenham, presented in their original fitted box. The roosters are particularly finely detailed and are more three-dimensional than is usual in picks of this type. The interior of the faux-python box is stamped "JC Vickery", a luxury goods dealer that held warrants from most of the English royal family, as well as the Crowns of Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Norway & Sweden...

Chirimen (crepe) silk kimono imprinted with Okinawa bingata design of irregular bands of flowers and plants of the seasons, in roundels, on waves, on vines etc. The outlines and basic forms are in brown, ochre and brown-red, while the flowers and leaves are colored in the red, yellow, green, and purple. Along the bottom is a band of stylized waves in red and brown.

Japanese multi metal engraved plaque depicting two piebald puppies investigating a rhinoceros beetle among tufts of grass and bamboo. Superb quality work, great sense of volume to their chubby bodies, wonderful puzzled faces, crisp carving, gilding and differently colored patinas, in perfect condition. Antique Chinese vase with a raised water dragon on both front and back. Faceted sides are decorated with auspicious symbols. The sculpting of the dragons and other motifs is very 3 dimensional. Set of four Bohemian glasses, each hand painted with a different pair of dogs. We're not dog experts, but they appear to be Scotties, wolfhounds, spaniels and Dalmatians. The quality of the painting is very nice, as is the quality of the glass. The top and bottom edges are decorated with gilt lines. The polished bottoms are acid-etched "Made In Czechoslovakia".

An iconic square bottle by one of the most important Japanese artists, Kawai Kanjiro, enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The fawn spotted white glaze is decorated with Gosu floral patterns in blue and red with a rich iron red at the mouth, the raw clay revealed at the base. This interesting circa 1920s walking stick has a carved pelican's head for a handle. In its beak, the bird is holding what looks like a melon. Handle measures are 4 inches. The bird has glass eyes and the head sits on top of a rosewood shaft 1/4 inch in diameter and a 1-1/4-inch ivory tip. Overall length of this stick is 35-1/2 inches.

Cambridge Pistatio Sugar is in mint condition. Only have the sugar, no creamer. Color is pistatio, otherwise, known as vaseline glass, or, by our modern young collectors, uranium glass. It glows under a black light. It measures about 2" high and 4" across. It does have the triangles "C" logo on the bottom.
