Chogappo made of fragments of white choma (ramie) whose weft and warp are hand-plied. Natural color fragments are mixture of choma and silk. This is an exquisite handpainted cup and saucer depicting flowers in blue and gold with just tiny touches of white and pink. It is signed Limoges, France, and alo Raphael Weil & Cie, San Francisco. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and the gold is also in perfect condition.

Kashigata (wooden sweet mold,) Biwa (loquat fruit, Eriobotrya Japonica) motif, Japan, early 20th C. L.8.125"(20.5cm) x W.4.374"(11cm) x H.1.5"(4cm.) The image on this mold shows a bunch of loquat fruit, known as "biwa" in Japanese. Biwa are indegenous to SE China, and the Japanese name may refer to the oblong shape of mature fruit that resembles the shape of the musical instrument, lute (also "biwa" in Japanese.) This beautiful cup and saucer is hand decorated in a pink (almost raspberry) and gold. It is marked Limoges, France and another mark with Raphael Weill & Cie, San Francisco. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repair, and the gold is also perfect with no wear at all.

A small Chinese porcelain vase delicately painted in fencai / famille rose enamels with a scene depicting two ladies on a river bank washing silk. The base carries an iron red four character Qianlong (1736 - 1795) reign mark but this vase was made later, in the early 20th Century, during the Republic period. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 12.5cm (5 inches) high.

Chinese posrcelain tea bowls with saucers and lids. The cups and lids are beautifully painted with phoenixes and dragons flying through clouds. The saucer is painted with pink, blue and yelow clouds. The cups are signed Chein Lung on the base, date from republic period. They measure 4.5" wide 3.5" tall with saucer and lid.

Korean wrapping cloth, chogappo which is made of recycled ramie (choma) fragments. All hand sewn except for a blue belt.
