This porcelain covered box was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1924 and 1934. It has the underglaze blue crossed swords marking with the dot on top. The Hazara embroidery of central Afghanistan is extremely fine, worked typically in brick stitch in diamond motifs surrounded by hooked diamonds. This purse was probably used to store a precious object such as the soil or holy stone brought from the holy city of Kerbala. This purse measures 13 x 22.5 cm when open, 9.6 x 13 cm when closed. Silk thread embroidered in brick stitch on cotton. Condition is excellent, and its estimated age is mid to late 20th century.

This chawan was fired in the kilns of one of Kyoto’s best known raku-yaki potters, Sasaki Shoraku III (1944-). The Shoraku line began when the grandfather of the current potter established a kiln near the famous Kiyomizu temple, nestled at the foot of the eastern mountains in Kyoto. In 1945, the kiln was moved to Kameoka near the Yada shrine where it remains today.

Green and yellow duck figural on a clear decanter in the form of a rock formation (or iceberg?. Seguso made these decanters for Luxardo in the 1960's. Height of the duck/decanter is 12 inches (30cm). Fenton Thumbprint Colonial Green Basket, 8" was produced in the 1960's. No logo on this one, it was made too early for that. Fenton started putting its logo on items in late 1969. Then gradually imprinted its logo on everything in 1972. (just in case you wanted to know). It is in mint condition.

Dressed in full robes and with his down turned hands at this sides demonstrating the Calling in the Rain mudra, a gesture to bring the rain to nourish the rice fields. This is a very nice ivory lion head walking stick. The lion features some pretty carving and he has clear glass eyes. The shaft is ebony and the ferrule is also ivory. This stick measures 35 1/2" x 2" x 1". The handle is 3 1/4" x 2" x 1". The ferrule measures 3/4".

This little girl's chemise was made by Uzbek women and measures 45 cm across the shoulders, 49 cm from the top to the bottom hem. Silk ikat combined with jajim and silk thread embroidered in long and short stitch. Condition is excellent.

German Rosenthal Porcelain Serving Tureen with two(2) handles and cover, Casserole Dish, Ca. 1933-1945, large colorful Rose and other flowers decorated plus brilliant gold accent. Marked on the bottom, "RC Kronach, Bavaria" in green, and "R" in red. Very tight glaze hair line on one side about 2" x 1" long, can not capture it with my camera, this tureen will make very nice serving dish on the table.

This Fenton French opalescent bell (Knobby Bull's Eye) was produced in 1980 and stands 7" tall. This bell was made from goblet moulds originally owned by the Redcliff Company (whom made ironstone dinnerware.)
