Classic vase form in mezza filigrana using lattimo and transparent copper blue threads. The form is augmented with side applications of basilica rope in crystal with gold aventurine and a crimped crystal lip decoration with gold aventurine. A purple bowl of swirl shape in the style of Beranek – Skrdlovice – or Klinger – Zelezny Brod Sklo /ZBS. The Czech glassworks like many other industries were nationalised. This bowl originally must have been produced for the Skoda car factory since it bears the Skoda mark (in use from 1929). Length "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: wear to the base and a scratch mark near the base.

Ducai flared vase made of porcelain, Chien Lung mark, Ching Dynasty, late Republic Period, 20th century. Decorated with scrolling vines and flowers with fans, medallions, and other items throughout. There are two geometrical registers that decorate the base and middle registers. It measures 6.25" at the mouth, 5"6/8" at base, 13.25" tall.

Chinese low rectangular table, made of jumu (elm) wood with beautiful dramatic grain, inset with large rectangular piece of dark gray slate carved with design of scholar objects and archaic motifs, stone is protected by glass which is also inset into the table. Size: 19" high x 46 1/4" wide x 30 3/4" deep. (size of table top: 45 3/4" wide x 30" deep.)

MacBeth-Evans American Sweetheart monax 9.75" Dinner plate is in excellent/mint condition. This pattern was made from 1930-36. Thirteen plates are available.

The Chinese name for this bodhisattva, sitting on a lotus flower which is draped on the back of a lion, is Wenshu (Manjusri). Wenshu was a disciple of the Buddha. Together with the Buddha and fellow disciple Samantabhadra (Chinese name is Puxian who rides on a white elephant) they form the Shakyamuni trinity. Wenshu is associated with wisdom, keen awareness and bravery. This carved ivory Wenshu is 10” high (with base is 11 ½” high), 4 ¾” wide and 1 ¾” thick...
