A very rare large white Chinese vase. Very difficult to find an original white vase like this. The production of white glazed wares was not very large, yet their quality was generally rather high.This one has a symbol of a human figure painted inside most likely done by the those who owned the vase. Size: H. 84cm. W. 45cm. Condition: Perfect.

A very large jade disc carved with a hole in the center. Both sides of this central hole are lipped which is very rare in "bi's." Compared with flat bi's, lipped bi's require a lot more carving and are much more difficult to make. The bi is beautiful with its complex colors and patterns. The colors range from cream to greys, ochres, greens and blues.Period: Neolithic ( 3rd millennium B.C.)

A very rare white porcelain Song qingpai ewer with a clear pale bluish glaze. The body and shoulder of the vase have skillfully executed free-flowing scraffiato designs of florals and leaves. The tall cylindrical neck is encircled at the base by two horned dragons whose heads meet at the spout. The grooved loop handle is further decorated with eight small balls. A very rare pair of ironwood chairs also know as Tieli mu. Ironwood has been used with huanghuali items since the Ming Dynasty. In all the years that I have been collecting Chinese furniture, this is the only pair of ironwood chairs I have come across. Ironwood is usually been confused with jichimu. A rare gentle-faced bronze figure of Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy) seated on a lotus pedestal. She wears an ornate necklace and has prayer beads on her right wrist. There is an image of Buddha beneath the veil on her head. Placed before her is her ambrosia bottle (kalasa). At the foot of her lotus pedestal is a band with two dragons facing a flaming pearl. An original very rare dark green amber Han hill jar with lions, tigers, monkeys, deer, and horse and rider with bow and arrow. The lid of the hill jar represent the five scared mountains which is the path between the earth and Paradise.The scared mountains is filled with animals that live there. A rare Pyu carved calcedony tiger with its 4 paws, upper back, and tail in carnelian red (presence of iron oxides in the stone). The body of the tiger is elongated with a curled up tail. Tigers of this type and age are difficult to find, especially ones that are intact. The 24 karat heavy gold woven chain and gold bar (through the tiger) were recently added, making it wearable as a choker necklace..

A rear authentic Chinese Tang Tomb Guardian with beautiful sancai glaze. Chinese believed that there were evil creatures underground and had these type of guardians to protect the tombs. Size: 74cm X 28cm. Condition: In its original state. Some minor repairs but not totally reconstructed.

A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. Size: H. 56cm - 54.2cm. W. 36cm - 36cm. Condition: Very good. Some very minor chips and hairline crack on one wing. See photos.

This is the most desirable of all the Han dogs. Not only has it been beautiful executed but has one of the nicest faces I have ever seen on a Han dog,it looks great from every angle. Size: H.26.5cm. A beautiful large Han court lady with original pigment, standing and dressed in full robe with long swaggered sleeves and wide train. The head and hands have slots for inserting ornaments.The head is removable. Size H. 66cm. W. 25cm. Condition: No repairs.

This is one of the earliest and rarest original types of vases made in Vietnam. It has a rich chocolate brown glaze with beautiful drippings going down to the base. A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. There are also two blue glass beads flanking the central gold bead. Wearable.
