A rare set of hors d'oeuvres (nut or sweet) dishes, in fitted hardwood box, painted in black ink in Qianjiang style. The bases of the nine dishes are unglazed. This set was probably made in the second half of the 19th Century during the reign of either the Tongzhi (1863-1874)or the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - very good - no chips,cracks or restoration, but, as is common with Qianjiang painting on porcelain, there is wear to the overglaze decoration of the dishes. The box is 30.3cm (11.9 inches)long; 30.3cm (11.9 inches)wide and 7.5cm (3 inches)high.

珍世稀有的浅绛茶点套碟及盒-19世纪
非常稀有的一套淡墨浅绛纹茶点碟，内置于硬木托盒内，九只碟的底部都无釉。此套碟估为19世纪中后期的同治（1863-1874）或光绪（1875-1908）时期出品。

A small delicately enameled bowl decorated in fencai / "famille rose" palette made in China during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - excellent - there is a little wear to the gilding inside the rim but no chips, cracks or restoration. 7.3cm diameter.

18世纪初 粉彩人物瓷碗
一件精美的粉彩人物小碗，作于清雍正年间。

An elaborate finely moulded "Blanc de Chine" figure group with elaborate applied decoration. This item was made in the Dehua kilns, Fujian province, south China circa 1890-1910. Condition - there has been a clean break to the back of the hand holding the staff on the male figure (see enlargement no. 5) and what appears to be an underglaze firing crack to the hand of the lady (enlargement no. 7) - otherwise excellent, no chips and no restoration. 9.5 inches (24cm) high.

A mid 18th century yellow ground Canton enamel bowl and cover both carrying the four character reign mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 6.5cm (2.5inches)high; 10.8cm (4.2inches) diameter.

A rare and unusual 18th Century Gu form copper vase decorated with flower scrolls in bright famille rose enamels against a blue ground. The central copper section is engraved with three archaic style Taotie masks. This item was made in China during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - excellent - there are some stress marks to the white enamel inside the rim but, unusually no damages and losses and no restoration. 23.5cm (9.25inches)high .

18世纪珍品铜胎彩饰花觚-乾隆
非常少见的18世纪花觚珍品。铜胎上画彩饰图案，蓝底缠枝菊花牡丹花卉，觚颈绕如意云，觚身中段铜体凸出分三面，各面刻古代道家人物脸谱。此觚制于清乾隆年间（1736-1795）
高23.5cm，品相完美，仅觚口内沿白釉有压痕，无破损无修复，是比较少见的保存完好的花觚。

A large earthenware wine jar,Hu, with green lead glaze much of which is covered with a silvery iridescence(caused by long burial and exposure to moisture). On the shoulder is a low relief moulded frieze depicting a number of animals and a figure on horseback in what is possibly a hunting scene. On each side are animal masks with rings - in a style similar to contemporary door knockers. This item was made circa 100 BC - 8 AD. Similar examples have been found in late Western Han tombs in Henan and Shaanxi provinces in Central China. Condition - there are chips to the base and there are chips and a number of cracks to the rim - the largest being about 7cm in length. There is wear to the relief decoration and extensive glaze degradation. Height 11 inches (28cm).

汉代 绿釉陶壶

A rare bronze censer cast in Song dynasty shape and finely decorated with silver wire inlay in late Ming "Transitional" style. The base carries the mark 'Shi Sou' and this item was made in Jiangsu province, China, circa 1600 to 1650. Condition - excellent - no damages or restoration. 3.4 inches (9.7cm) high; 6.3 inches (16cm) across.

明晚期 “石叟”款兽耳嵌银丝铜香炉
一件类似宋代形制的明末过渡期风格嵌银丝铜香炉。底有“石叟”字样，做于中国江苏省，约1550-1650年间。

A very finely painted small Satsuma earthenware koro (incense burner) made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868 - 1911). The base is signed 'Kushizan' or 'Kushiyama'. Condition - excellent- no damages and no restoration. 3.25 inches (8.2cm) wide; 2.6 inches(6.5cm)high.

A late Ming dynasty jar with under glaze blue banding and decorated in typical Wucai style with over glaze iron red and green and yellow enamels depicting two phoenix in flight amongst styalized peoney foliage; there is a lotus scroll band on the shoulder. This item was made in China and probably exported to Europe circa 1600 -1640. Condition - there is an old repair to the brown dressed rim - no cracks and no further damages or restoration.. 15.5cm (6.1 inches) high

A heavy "Celadon" glazed porcelain vase probably made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jianxi province, in imitation of early Ming Longquan wares. This item was made during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850). For similar, dated 1840, please see lot 522 Nagel Auktion 6/7 June 2005. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21.8cm (8.5inches) High.

19世纪青釉瓷瓶 清道光

Fine and rare roof ridge tile figure group consisting of a horse and groom made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). Condition - unusually very good - age related wear to glazes and minor chipping (please see enlargement 8 for most noticable chip) but no significant losses and no restoration. 36cm (14.1 inches) high; 33cm 13 inches long

A good underglaze blue decorated transitional style jar of a type which was produced in Jingdezhen over a long period, from the Wanli through to the end of the Chongzheng reign, for both the export and the internal markets. Condition - there is old restoration to the rim and there is a firing crack (please see enlargements 4 and 6). 17cm (6.7 inches) high.

晚明过渡期青花人物风景纹罐-约1600-1640
晚明过渡期的景德镇青花罐，此类型的青花罐景德镇曾长期烧造，从万历到崇祯，即流通于国内市场亦远销国外。

A very finely engraved paktong ink stone box with copper lining and base. The cover is decorated with Shang dynasty style Gu and Ding vessels and with archaic style chilong dragon border. The base carries the four character maker's mark - "Rong Bao Shang Gong". Condition - very good. 3.7 inches(9.7cm) across; 1.6 inches (4.5cm).

A small attractively decorated porcelain jardiniere and stand probably made in Jingdezhen, China circa 1770 - 1820 during the reign of either the Qianlong or Jiaqing emperor. Although this was a popular export shape during that period the traditional archaic style decoration suggests that this was possibly made as a scholar's item. Condition - perfect - no damages and no restoration. 3.5 inches (9cm) across; 3.2 inches (8cm) high - with stand.

18/19世纪小花盆及底座-乾隆/嘉庆

A large exceptionally well carved Huang-Yang ("boxwood") sculpture of Damo seated in meditation on a rockwork base. This item is probably made in the 18th century during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). For similar much smaller example, ref. Christies's 'Art D'Asie', Paris, 7 Dec 2007, lot 256. A green glazed "celadon" ware vase with flattened pear-shaped body made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province, circa 1450-1550, during the middle Ming dynasty. The shape is probably in imitation of ring handled bronze vessles of similar form which have been produced in China since the Yuan dynasty. There is moulded floral decoration to the body and a plantain leaf design around the neck. On each side of the vase are six-lobed cartouches containing the Chinese characters "shou" (longevity) and "fu" (prosperity). There is an almost identical example in the British Museum, please see item 16:18, page 469 - "Ming Ceramics in the British Museum" by Jessica Harrison-Hall (ISBN 0 7141 1488 X). Condition - there are under glaze firing cracks and some surface scratching but no external damage and no repairs or restoration. 7.25 inches (18.5cm) high.

15/16世纪明龙泉青瓷梨形双耳瓶
绿釉青瓷桃形扁瓶，明中期约1440-1550年间浙江龙泉窑品，此种器形估为仿元代以来双耳吊环青铜瓶器形，模制的花卉纹瓶身和芭蕉叶纹瓶颈，瓶身两面中央六瓣海棠花内各有“福”及“寿”字纹。大英博物馆内有一几乎同样的展品，见Jassica Harrison-Hall的“Ming Ceramics in British Museum (大英博物馆的明代陶瓷）”（ISBN 0 7141 1488 x) 一书第469页第16:18件样品。

Early 18th century tea bowl and saucer, decorated in "imari" style in under glaze blue and over glaze iron red, depicting four-clawed dragons amongst cloud scrolls in pursuit of flaming pearls. This item was made for export to Europe during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - there is a 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) hair line running from the saucer dish rim (see enlargements 5 and 6); there is the usual rim fritting and there is wear to the over glaze gilding. Saucer dish 4.75 inches (12 cm) diameter; tea bowl 2.9 inches (7.4 cm) diameter, 1.5 inches (4.3 cm) high.

18世纪早期龙纹茶碗及碟-雍正

A rare 17th Century (probably late Ming) carving of the Hehe Erxian - the Twin Immortals of Union and Harmony - in typical pose, one holding a basket and the other holding its 'contents' - a bat a symbol of happiness. Condition - good - there are natural cracks and flaws to the stone but no damages or losses. 6.5 inches (16.5cm) long; 4.5 inches (11.5cm) high.

稀有17世纪寿山石雕刻“和合”二仙摆件
非常稀有的17世纪（约晚明）“和合”二仙摆件，一仙双手捧盒，一仙手持象征“福”的蝙蝠，二仙寓意和睦和谐。

A rare Indonesian Keris/Kriss with very old short wavy pamir/pamor steel blade. The Javanese style hilt has a white metal (probably silver) fitting set with flat back - "rose cut" - diamonds. For similar diamond fitting please see fig 10a, page 385 - "Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor" by George Cameron Stone, 1934 - pub 1961 by Jack Brussel (New York). Condition - the tip of the blade is missing and there are two chips and an age related crack to the wooden hilt. Total length 19.25 inches (49cm). Length of blade 12 inches (30cm)

稀有印度尼西亚古董克力士佩剑-嵌宝石柄

A rare early 18th Century Brush Pot or Bitong painted in vibrant "famille rose" enamels depicting a Scholar at his table and Kui Xing - the scholar's god of examinations. On the base is inscribed "Zhao Cai Jin Bao". The decoration and inscription suggest good fortune and prosperity. This item was made during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 1735). Condition - there is a large chip and a 2.5 inch (6.5cm) hairline to the rim. 4.9 inches (12.5cm) high.

18世纪早期魁星笔筒-雍正
非常稀有的18世纪早期粉彩瓷笔筒，釉色鲜艳生动，描绘一位书生攻习于案，而魁星挥笔于旁，筒底书“招财进宝”。此笔筒出于雍正（1723-1735）时期。

A large, heavily potted, "Diving Dragon" dish depicting an angular stylized dragon amongst clouds in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The design originated in more conventional form in the early 18th Century during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735) but this item was made later during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor (1796 - 1820). Similar dishes were salvaged from the wreck of the Diana which sank in 1816. Condition - there are two hairlines - 3cm (1.2 inch) and 4cm (1.5inch)- running from the rim (please see enlargements 7 and 8). There is surface wear to the interior and what is probably an owner's mark - "Shi Yuen Shung" - engraved above the foot rim. 5cm (2 inches)deep; 17.8cm (11 inches) diameter.

19世纪早期青花潜龙纹盘-嘉庆（约1816）
大款青花潜龙盘，胎体厚重，饰潜龙云纹，龙首有角，火珠纹，此种风格在清早期的雍正（1723-1735）时期更常见，但此盘为后来嘉庆（1796-1820）时期所出。出事于1816年的戴安娜（Diana）沉船的打捞品中可见同款式的瓷盘。
品相：盘口有两条细裂纹，分别长约3cm、4cm（见放大图7、图8），盘面有些软道，足沿上方可见刻有三字“士云生”，可能为此盘所有者所留。盘深5cm，直径17.8cm。

An early 18th Century deep dish with very fine porcelain body decorated in underglaze blue depicting a four clawed dragon, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of a flaming pearl. This item was made in Jingdezhen, Jianxi province, during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 - 1735). Condition - there are two hairline cracks (1.7 and 1.5 inches) and associated chips and frits to the rim in the area facing the dragon's right claw (please see enlargement no. 4). There has been no restoration. 1.5 inches (4cm) deep; 8.1 inches (21.5cm) diameter.

18世纪早期云龙纹盘-雍正
18世纪早期的青花深口盘，胎质精良，饰四爪云龙及火珠纹。此盘为雍正（1723-1735）世纪江西景德镇窑品。

A rare and very finely enamelled small vase. On the base is the iron red hall mark - Ju ren tang zhi - "Made for the hall where one dwells in benevolence". The mark is often attributed to the brief reign of the Honxian emperor (circa 1915- 1916) but this item was probably made a little later. Condition - excellent, no damages and no restoration. 8cm (3.2 inches) high.

精美彩饰无颈瓶-居仁堂款（约1916-1920）
非常稀有但纹饰精美的小款无颈瓶，瓶底有红釉款“居仁堂制”，此款多出于短命的洪宪（约1915-1916）时期，但此品估为后世制作。

A rare wine ewer, with warming pot, depicting the famous Tang Dynasty "drunken" poet Li Bai (701 - 762), with one of his best known poems and another inscribed on the warmer. Both poems are signed by the same calligrapher. This item carries the reign mark of the Tongzhi emperor (1862 - 1874)but was probably made a little later during the Guangxu reign (1875-1908). Condition - there are chips to the edges of the warmer (please see enlargement 1). There are no cracks and there has been no restoration. 13.5 cm (5.3 inches)high;9 cm (3.5 inches) wide.

19世纪诗画纹（李白诗）酒壶-同治
形制少见的酒壶，配温酒器。壶身饰唐代酒仙李白大诗人（701-762）及其名诗一首，温酒器上亦刻其诗一首，两首诗由同一书法家署名。此壶有同治（1862-1874）四字款，但估为光绪（1875-1908）时出品。
品相良好，无裂纹无修复，仅温酒器边沿有磕口（见放大图1）。壶高13.5cm，宽9cm。

A lovingly carved "pitch pine" Madonna by self taught Sister Josephine - one of Saint Francis Cabrini's first orphans who, according to the accompanying letter, was "close to and loved by Mother Cabrini". Mother Cabrini was the first American citizen to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church and is the Patron Saint of Immigrants. Sister Josephine was born 1n 1877 - the same year that Mother Cabrini took her religious vows - she died, aged 101, in New York. Condition - very good. 19.7 inches (50cm) high.

A scarce 18th Century U-shaped bowl decorated with iron red and very finely painted "famille rose" enamels depicting the Bajixiang - the Eight Buddhist Treasures - between key-fret and ruyi bands. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) and is of the period. Although not uncommon during the 19th Century, Qianlong examples of this type are rare and with superior decoration. For similar - ref. Sotheby's, London - lot 145,12 July 2006. Condition - there is a 4cm(1.6 inch) hairline, barely visible from the outside, and a faint star crack (please see enlargements 7 and 8 for both). 10.8cm (4.25 inches)diameter; 6.4cm (2.5 inches) high.

稀有粉彩八吉祥纹碗-乾隆款
罕见的18世纪粉彩八吉祥纹U形碗，碗沿下饰回行文，碗足上饰如意纹，碗底有“大清乾隆年制”（1736-1795）六字款，此碗为同期所出。此种形制的碗在19世纪比较普遍，但在乾隆时期实属罕见，而且纹饰非常精美。请参考2007年7月12日伦敦Sotheby's的第145号拍品。

A rare and very well painted enamel wine ewer - with documentary decoration in Chinese taste possibly depicting the story of the Daoist Immortal Lu Dong Bin. This item was made circa 1740 during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. Condition - there is an 18th Century iron replacement handle; there are surface marks and there are enamel losses around the finial on the cover( enlargement no.6) and to the tip of the spout (enlargement no.1). There is a 0.5cm impact enamel loss to the lower part of the back panel (please see enlargement no. 3). 5 inches (13cm) high; 5 inches (13cm) long.

稀有18世纪中期彩饰酒壶-乾隆
稀有且画工精良的酒壶，壶身饰人物故事纹，似道家神话人物吕洞宾。此品制于乾隆时期约1740-1750年间。

An early Ming dynasty Celadon bowl made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province during the first half of the 15th Century (circa 1400 - 1450 AD). The outide is of moulded lotus petal form, the base is unglazed and there is carved lotus flower decoration to the interior. Condition excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.3 inches) diameter; 9cm (3.5 inches) high.

明代龙泉青瓷荷叶纹碗-15世纪
明早期龙泉青瓷碗，15世纪上半叶（约公元1400-1450），碗外部模制成莲花瓣形，内部亦划莲花纹，底部无釉。

An exceptionally rare turquoise-glazed porcelain vase or flask made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jiangxi province,China, during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). The neck is decorated with upright plantain leaves, each shoulder with styalized lotus scroll design and applied buddhistic lion head. The central panels front and back feature the Hehe Erxian - the twin Immortals of Union and Harmony - one holding a basket from which has been released a bat, in flight amongst clouds. Inside the mouth are the remains of brown paint which originally covered the inner surface - possibly in imitation of middle eastern earthenware vessels. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 25cm (9.9 inches) high; 18cm (7 inches) wide.

稀有18世纪早期松石绿釉壶形瓶-康熙

A good early 18th Century syle meiping form vase decorated with prunus blossom against a "cracked ice" ground. On the base is the six character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662 - 1722) but this item was made later - during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875 - 1908). Condition - excellent. No damages and no restoration. 7.3 inches (18.5cm) high.

An unusual pair of Chinese style bronze incense burners, both with original covers, made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition the rim of one is indented and there is a surface crack to the other. 7 inches (18cm) high, 4.6 inches (11.8cm) diameter.

稀有的中国风格的铜香炉，带原装炉盖，出于日本明治（1868-1911）时期。

A good lacquered bamboo brushpot (Bitong),depicting Shou xing and a deer, delicately painted in a style more commonly seen on large gilt decorated blue glazed vases that are attributed to the late Qianlong/Jiaqing reigns . The inscription reads : "Imitated at (?) Tai Zhengya's Calligraphy Studio of Elegant Living, for his comments". Condition is good - one age related crack and a little wear to the gilding. No further damages/losses. 5.25 inches (13.4cm) High.

18/19世纪竹笔筒-乾隆/嘉庆
一件黑漆镏金竹笔筒，绘有寿星和其坐骑鹿。绘画风格更多见于乾隆嘉庆时期的蓝釉描金花瓶上。上有描金文字。
品相：好。有一处因年代久远生成的德裂纹，描金少许退色。无其他损伤或破损。高13.4厘米。

An attractively decorated "famille rose" dish on pale green 'celadon' ground made for export, circa 1840, during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821 - 1850). Condition - there are some surface losses to the blue enamels and there is a very small under rim chip - no cracks and no restoration. 9 inches (23cm) diameter.

An underglaze blue and overglaze red decorated bowl depicting two five clawed dragons - each in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The base carries the six character mark of the Kangxi emperor but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century. Condition - there is an old 0.2 inch (0.5cm) hairline to the rim and there are losses to the overglaze red decoration. Diameter - 3.6 inches (9.2cm). Height - 2 inches (5cm)

康熙款蓝地矾红龙纹碗
一件蓝地矾红二龙赶珠纹碗。底有“大清康熙年制”六字篆书款，但约作于19世纪。
品相：从口沿有一处0.5厘米长的冲缝，红色有些脱色。直径9.2厘米，高5厘米。

A good underglaze blue and iron red decorated deep dish depicting Ming style dragons amongst cloud scrolls. The base carries the six character mark of the Yongzheng emperor, within a double circle, and was made during his reign (1723 to 1736). Condition - good - there are some under rim chips and there is the usual rim "fritting" - no cracks and no restoration. 20.4cm (8 inches) diameter. 4cm (1.6 inches) high.

18世纪早期 明代风格龙纹盘 清雍正
一件青花矾红龙纹碗，上有明代装饰风格的云龙纹。底有“大清雍正年制”六字款，也作于雍正年间。
品相：良好。口沿下有两处磕口，另有些许毛口。无冲缝，无修复。直径20.4厘米，高4厘米。
