A black and white Aboriginal subject earthenware dish or wall plaque, made circa 1965, by Studio Anna, Australia. condition - there are small under-rim chips and there is a crackled glaze to the reverse; no repairs or restoration. 24.5cm (9.7inches) diameter.

A rare early 20th Century red 'aventurine' glass Dachshund, with gold leaf inclusions, made on the island of Murano, Italy circa 1930 - 1950. Condition: excellent. 13.5cm (5.3 inches) long.

A delicately modelled hand painted figure group made by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, Hungary, during the 1950s or the 1960s. Condition: excellent - no losses and no restoration. 19cm (7.5 inches) high; 14cm (5.5 inches) across.

A heavy hammered copper box with domed top, fitted wood interior and applied (overlaid and inlaid) silver decoration. We understand that the Arabic inscription is descriptive of the box's function (for holding cigarettes). This item was made in Egypt during the first half of the 20th Century. A large hand, worked silver, ring set with semi-precious stones, made in Tibet during the first half of the 20th Century.
Condition: there is much age surface wear; one of the small turquoise stones is missing and some of the original traditional black wax covering the silver has been recently scratched off.
Weight: 13 grams (0.45 oz).

A rare carved Sepik River Mask decorated with mud embedded cowrie shells and human hair. This item is 'old' by Papua New Guinea standards having been made pre 1970. Condition: there are losses to the applied decoration (some having been re-glued) and one of the boar's tusks is missing from the nose. 42cm (16.5inches) long. An original and probably unique terracotta blacksmith by Royal Doulton figure modeller - Peggy Davies who, in her early years, was an assistant to Clarice Cliff. This item was probably made circa 1955 - 1960 and carries an incised signature on the base. Condition - the hammer is missing from the right hand as is a piece of the iron held in his left hand. There are surface marks which we have not tried to clean. There are no cracks and no restoration. Height - 24cm (9.5 inches).

A very rare wood and pewter bar caraffe or decanter with glass thermos liner and Swiss made musical movement which plays "The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss. This item was designed by Aldo Tura for Macabo of Milan, Northern Italy, and made circa 1958. Condition: excellent - there is a little rusting to the movement which is in good working condition; there are no damages and no repairs or restoration. 32cm (12.6 inches) high.

A good Australian Aboriginal bark painting of a spirit figure. This item was acquired 'second hand' in the UK in the 1990s and was probably painted during the 1980s. Condition there is wear and losses to the paint. 16 inches (41cm) high, 9.5 inches (24cm) wide.

A rare and exceptionally large and imposing 1930s Bourne Denby stoneware vase with styalised art deco cloud decoration. This item is in very good condition with no damages and no restoration. 36cm(14.2 inches)high and 23.5cm(9.3 inches)across at the widest point.

A sepik river, Papua New Guinea mask consisting of the carapace of a tortoise decorated with cowrie shells, boars tusks and bird of paradise feathers. This item was probably made during the 1970s. Condition - very good - no losses. 9 inches (23cm) High x 7 inches (18cm) wide - excluding feathers.

An extremely finely and delicately painted eggshell porcelain bowl by Wang Yijun. The poem on the reverse side reads "Wen ji qi wu xiang feng nian, fu gui rong hua ren ping an. Wang Yijun zuo" which can translate as "Practice the sword while hearing roosters (meaning work hard) and enjoy the affluence of the year; wish people wealth, prosperity and safety. Made by Wang Yijun"The seal mark to the base reads "Jingdezhen Zuo" - Made in Jingdezhen. Wang Yijun (1904 - 1989)was born in Anhui, China. A student of Wu Ai in his early years, he specialised in “flowers and birds” painting. He adapted Lang Shining’s style, with a touch of traditional famille rose technique. His works are usually delicate and vivid, with the elegance of the court school. In 1959 Wang Yijun was conferred the title “Ceramic Artist” by the Jingdezhen Municipal Government. In 2011, the late artist was given the Official award of “China’s Master of Ceramic Art”. A large papier mache lacquered plaque or tray made for export or sale to foreigners during the early 20th Century. This raised relief design incorporating the "Satsuma cross" motif is very common on low grade tea and coffee sets made in vast quantities for export during the 1920s and 1930s. It is unusual to see this brocade style pattern depicted in this medium. Condition - good. There are two old screw holes in the back, age related "crazing" to the surface, substantial wear to the rim and there is an old repair to the bottom edge ( please see enlargement 2) there has been no restoration. 15.5 inches (39cm) diameter.

萨摩烧风格人物漆盘 约1900-1940

A richly patinated carved wood figure of a seated drum playing musician. This item was made in Bali, circa 1900-1940, during the first half of the 20th Century. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the head-dress (please view enlargement 11) - no further damage and no repairs. 18cm (7 inches) wide; 32cm (12.5 inches) high.

An "ogee" shaped porcelain bowl decorated with polychrome 'famille rose' enamels depicting two pheasants amongst flowering peony and pomegranate branches and below a band of alternating lotus flowers and the eight Buddhist emblems, the Bajixiang. The seal mark to the base reads "Zhong Hua Min Guo" (Republic of China), dating it to the period 1911-1949. Condition: there are rim frits / chips and there is a light 1cm hairline to the rim ; no further damages and no restoration. 14cm (5.5inches) diameter; 5.9cm (2.3inches) high. A heavy well cast 'bronze' figure, in traditional Benin ceremonial coral beaded costume and headress, probably made in Nigeria during the early to mid 20th Century. Condition: excellent. The circular copper base is probably a later addition. 30cm (12 inches) high. A rare 1920s Bursley ware vase inspired by Islamic 16th Century Turkish Iznik ceramic style and belonging to the 'Bagdad' range. This design is attributed to Frederick Rhead. Condition - excellent. No chips, cracks or restoration. 18.5cm (7.25cm) high.

A rare carved bone abacus with integral reverse glass painting depicting four boys, in a garden setting, peering into a large fish bowl. There is an added inscritpion carved into one side recording that this item was given as a gift in Hong Kong in 1953. Condition; very good - no damages or losses. 11.5cm (4.5 inches) long; 5.5cm (2.2 inches) wide; 1.5cm deep.

算盘主框架和算盘珠为骨质，背面为玻璃内画4个男童在花园里探头看鱼缸。 算盘侧面有红色刻字：锦明先生惠存。香港基士得耶公司*同人敬赠。一九五三年二月廿三日。

品相：很好。无损伤或缺失。 长11.5厘米，宽5.5厘米，厚1.5厘米。
