A underglaze blue hand painted blue and white export plate depicting three sprigs of flowers enclosed in a lobed border with fleur- de-lis and on the outer border a loosely painted fence. The outer edge is painted brown. Given the vague Western references in the decoration the plate is probably after 1750. 8 7/8th inches (22.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very minor stacking wear. Minor firing flaws.

A well decorated Chinese Imari export plate with underglaze blue and overglaze red, orange and gold. The scene of flowering plants and a Chinese fence covers the face of the plate, from the rim on one side, across the center and onto the opposite rim. There is a single blue line at the outer border and a brown edge. The back is decorated with blue and red trailing flowers and has an unglazed foot. A Chinese porcelain early 18th century large handleless cup with hand painted underglaze cobalt blue decoration. On the inside a saw tooth band is between faint blue lines located near the ruffled rim and a scene of an insect above a flower and grasses in the bottom. A Chinese hand painted blue and white porcelain deep dish with a wide rim and a brown outside edge. The underglaze blue decoration on the inside is flowers and a table with a vase of flowers. On the outside are a couple of loosely painted floral designs. Height 1 ½ inches (4 cm) and 6 3/8 inches (16 cm) diameter.

Kyoto Satsuma figure of an elaborately dressed elderly man seated on a rush mat with two small cases beside him. The man is nearly bald, missing front teeth and shows whisker stubble on his chin. On the other hand his vest is elaborately decorated with gilt flowers, and his pantaloons and leggings are stripped with gilding. Large folk art hooked cotton rug of a maroon horse outlined in black and with black hooves and tail trotting to the left against a tan ground with maroon corners and blue bands to enclose the horse.
