A Chinese Export double handled cup, a chocolate cup. Under-glaze blue decoration of a seascape with pagodas, diaper and scroll borders. Qianlong period, c 1760. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: wear to the little dragon “ears” of the handles, otherwise fine.

Six dessert or salad bowls of square shape, pinched. Iridescent and all with a swirl except for one which is more iridescent than the rest. Early 20th century, Art Nouveau and probably Czech, by Loetz. Polished pontils. Height appr. "2 / 5 cm, width (diagonally) "5 / 12.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Five Delft polychrome wall plates in the Peacock pattern, a stylized mix of flowers and feathers very much “en vogue” in Delft of the 18th century. They all have a claw mark in under-glaze blue to the base, for De Klauw, the legendary Delft faience manufacture of the period. However, the Peacock pattern saw a renewed popularity around 1900 when these plates were probably made. Diameter "8/ 20 cm. Condition: fine.

A small Chinese teapot, pumpkin shaped and ribbed. Decoration of garden rocks and flowers in underglaze blue, overglaze red and gilt. Late Kangxi / early 18th century. Width / 14.5 cm, height including lid "4/ 10 cm, width "5 ¾ / 14.5 cm. Condition: some glaze flakes to the lid and firing cracks to the knob (cf. pics).

Teacups – six plus one - and saucers from Staffordshire with moulded borders, made of porcelain around 1825 and possibly by H & R Daniels. The pattern is numbered 766 and consists of little blue flowers or leaves growing from meandering sprouts in green, with minimal red shoots from them. Measures: height of cups "2/ 5.7 cm, diameter "4/ 10.5 cm and of saucers"6/ 15 cm. The seventh cup with a slightly different handle and no border moulding. Condition of all pieces: fine.

Antique Peranakan or Straits Chinese silver belt, probably early 20th century. With its Aceh style Phoenix bird theme this belt was traditionally used by ladies at weddings and other festivities. The buckle – now missing but easily replaced by a matching textile ribbon - would have held a larger version of the Phoenix motif. With diffuse marks but tested for a silver content of 500/1000. Weight 143 grams. Length "14 ½ / 74 and width "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: fine.

An oval and domed porcelain plaque with enamelled flowers in a gilt and Bleu Céleste framework. The ”heavenly blue” colour was a speciality for Sevres in the 18th century and revived in the 19th during the reign of Napoléon III. The gilt flower wreath is tooled, to show the texture of the little flower petals, and the large flower motif is excellently painted. The plaque was made in the late 19th century and probably intended for an ormolu wall sconce. Height "7/ 18.4 cm, width "4 ½ / 11....

Milchglas or lattimo snuff box, late 18th century. The sides and base with enameled decoration of flowers while on the lid an elegantly dressed little gentleman is seen taking a walk in the park, behind him a pink phantasy rock, a rocaille - all in typically Rococo style. The mounting made of bronze or brass, the upper part with engraved zigzag lines. Made in Bohemia around 1780. Width "2 ¾ / 7.3 cm, height "1 1/8 / 2.7 cm. Condition: fine.

Two massive modernist clear glass solitaire vases from the 1950s, each with a large bubble. Designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta, the Swedish glassworks. Both signed Kosta, LH for Lindstrand, 1496 and 1615 respectively (model numbers). Height "8 and 4 ¼ / 20 and 11 cm. Condition: fine, except for a few misty contours to the inside of both vases, near the top.

A beautiful pair of scissor shaped sugar nips or tongs, with shell bowls. Silver, probably Irish, Rococo style, late 18th century. Unmarked, like many early sugar nips. Width "6¼/ 16 cm, weight 67 grams. Condition: the joint is somewhat unsteady and apparently these sugar nips have never been restored.

A circular lidded box with compartments used for jewelry and other valuables included in the dowry of a Vietnamese bride, c 1900 or earlier. Rosewood with mother-of-pearl inlays of flowers, butterflies and birds. Note: Diameter "8 3/4/ 22 cm, height "4/ 10 cm. Condition: loss of inlays to the lid, still beautiful.

Early plaster of Paris group of Saint Anne and her daughter Mary. Saint Anne is seen teaching Mary how to read the Holy Scripture. When dating the little sculpture, the hairstyle of Saint Anne and the narrow waist of Mary’s dress points at a time around 1830 or the reign of Charles X in France. Pedestal and sculpture are separable, the pedestal with traces of an address, Middleton Street in London – probably the address of the original retailer. Punch bowl, a mid 19th century copy of the Chinese bowls made for the European market a hundred years earlier. The exterior dark blue and gilt with birds and vases in Famille Rose enamels in reserves, the interior with scattered flowers. Unmarked but most certainly made by Samson of Paris c 1880. Many of Samson’s Chinese Export models derive from a large collection of Chinese porcelain held by French industrialist Ernest Grandidier now to be seen in the Musée Guimet. Aldo Londi for Bitossi: a massive stoneware vase, thinly applied glaze to the exterior a rhombic pattern of in orange and yellow with “volcanic” effects, and a glossy glaze to the interior. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of Bitossi, the renowned Italian ceramic company. Marked 3030/537 and Italy. Height "7/ 18 cm. Condition: a few glaze flakes to the mouth rim (cf. pics).

A French lavishly decorated urn-shaped vase with handles, c 1850 in Rococo Revival style. The foot and bowl in the classical manner have been made separately and are joined by brass and iron parts (extra photos transmitted on demand). The abundant decoration on front and back is matched by the brilliant blue of the undecorated sides. A “first generation” blue and white Meissen coffee cup, c 1750. Indian flowers decoration in underglaze blue to the inside, in Kang Hsi style. The outside jade-coloured, fluted and ribbed. Height: 1 ¾”/5 cm. Sword mark, painter’s mark. On the outside a small imperfection, a “mouche”, generally considered an age sign. Condition: fine.

Patinated bronze vase by Danish designer Just Andersen (1884-1943). Simple and beautiful Déco design, the shape reminding of the petals of an opening flower. Small engraving to one side of the foot-rim. Marks: GAB (a Swedish company for which Just Andersen worked from c 1930), "brons" and model number 212. Height "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: some wear (scratch marks) as seen on pictures.

A large lacquered papier maché table snuff box made in Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany. The lid with a portrait of an old man, a prophet. Early 19th century, probably by Stockmann, unsigned. Diameter "4½/ 11 cm, height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: a chip to the inner rim of the box, as seen on photo.
