Small wine bowl, beautifully enamelled in Famille rose colours. Coffee coloured glaze to the exterior, so called Batavia ware (shipped from the Dutch colony in Indonesia, Batavia, today known as Jakarta). Yongzheng or early Qianlong, first half of the 18th century. Diameter "2½/ 6.6 and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: a hairline (cf picture).

Chinese blue and white saucer, Kangxi period, c 1700. “Clobbered” decoration in Imari style (added in Europe for higher retail value) of some of the auspicious Hundred Treasures in iron red and gilt. Diameter "5¼ / 13.2 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the rim and minimal nicks to foot rim.

Chinese export plate, decoration in Famille rose enamels of flowers and finger lemon. The well with an iron red border in European Rococo style and the background with greenish shade (more so than is seen on the photos). Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: two chips to the rim and a glaze crack to the border (cf photos).

A pair of coral ground tea bowls, c 1900. Enamelled decoration in blue and green with black transfer printed contours. Since the use of printed decorations started earlier in Japan (in the 19th century) than in China it is probable that these bowls are Japanese. One bowl with illegible export (?) mark in red. A blue and white plate with a single flower in the center and a simple flower and leaves border. Kangxi or Yongzheng, c 1720. Diameter "9¼/ 23,3 cm. Condition: rim frits, and some “pinholes” in the glaze (generally considered to be an age sign).

Five little Chinese cups and saucers dating to c 1850. Canton Famille Rose / Rose Medallion decoration of Mandarin scenes, flowers and butterflies. Height of cups "2/5,5 cm, diameter of saucers "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine.

Canton Famille rose / Rose Medallion urn lid with Foo dog handle, mid 19th century. Height (handle not included) "2½/ 6,5 cm. Outer diameter of the rim that has to fit into an urn or vase is "3½/ 8,8 cm. Condition: glaze chips around the lower edge of the decoration (cf pics).

Two lids decorated in Famille rose colours in the Canton Famille rose or Rose Medallion style. Early 19th century, both with gilt berry handles. One lid is for a large vase or a soup bowl, ecuelle, and the smaller for a cup. Outer diameter of the rims that have to fit into another vessel is "2½/ 6,4 cm and "5½/ 13,7 cm respectively. Condition: repairs and a nick (cf pics).

A pair of Chinese tea trays, enamel on copper. Decoration of lotus and borders in Jiaqing style and possibly of the period. Width "3¾/ 9,6 cm. Condition: fine.

A barrel shape tumbler with engraved decoration of tassels and flower garlands. C 1810-20, Swedish Empire period (just before the enthronement of the still reigning Bernadotte dynasty). Polished pontil mark. Height "3½/ 9,4 cm. Condition: fine.

An enamel and gilt clasp, French, cloisonné decoration in the Empire revival style of the 1880’s. Width "2/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a few hardly visible chips to the enamel.

Canton Famille rose / Rose Medallion cup and saucer, c 1840. Decoration of Mandarin scenes, birds, butterflies and flowers. Diameter of saucer "5/ 12,8 cm, height of cup "2 1/4/ 6 cm. Condition: a small rim chip to the saucer can be felt, not seen

A Chinese Canton Famille rose / Rose Medallion brush holder or brush pot, mid 19th century. Relief decoration in reserves of scholarly scenes. Height "4 1/2/ 11 cm. Condition: chip to foot rim and a hairline (cf pictures)

A French carving set; knife and fork with silver handles, beautifully engraved and crafted. Made in Paris in the 1880’s, in the classicist Louis XVI style so much “en vogue” at the time. The fork made of ivory or bone, the sharp steel blade of the knife marked Paris. Minerva head hall mark and maker’s mark of a bird, possibly, and E. Length of knife "13¼/ 33,5 cm. Condition: the little knob of the fork seems to be replaced, otherwise fine.

Pair of oval silver salts, clean and simple design with straight sides and a classical border of stylized leaves (kymation) around the rim. Early 20th century, with Swedish import hall marks and possibly by Bernhard Hertz whose company was based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Length "2/ 5,5 cm. No liners. Condition: fine.

A very pretty ladies pocket watch, made in Switzerland, antique. The face is heart shaped, decorated in silver and gilt, the case all over finely engraved with floral ornaments. On the back are traces of enamel. The movement marked SWISSMADE. Case and cuvette both numbered 32086 over 5 and stamped 925, with London import marks for 1908, the cuvette also GS, initials that are part of the assay mark. Diameter "1¼/ 3,3 cm. Condition: at present it does not run.

A hand hammered brass teapot with rattan wrapped handle, probably Germany, c 1910. Together with a burner by Jan Eisenlöffel, c 1900. The burner with “hammered” dark blue glass walls made in the 1990’s to fit the exact style of the original. Height of teapot "7½/ 19 cm, width "8/ 20 cm, width of burner "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

An enamel on copper cup or beaker and a small dish. Both are Italian modernist pieces (1950’s), both enameled in tomato red with black speckles (the back of the dish in gilt and white). Both pieces marked Made in Italy: the cup with a small metal sign in the way of Paolo de Poli,the dish with impressed mark. Height of cup "2/ 5 cm, diameter of dish "3½/ 8,7 cm. Condition: fine.
