A very rare Chinese jade of a stylized bird. The jade is translucent of a green and brown mottled coloration. Carved with a minimum of design giving an it a minimalistic, abstract look. It has large convex circles for eyes. The back has two interconnecting holes for passing a string through. The back has a naturally occurring hairline fissure of a dark reddish brown coloration. Has some calcification from long burial. Size: H = 1-3/8", W = 1-3/4"

A beautiful nineteen century woven temple carpet with nice design. The center pattern features 3 large multi-colored abstract florals against a black background that is surrounded by a blue & white keyfret design frame. The center florals include stylized lingzhi fungus combined in the design. The outer edge features abstract cloud and water patterns. These designs symbolize longevity, fertility and good luck. Size: L.163cm. W. 85cm. (5.4ft X 2.19ft) Condition: no repairs.

Nicely cast bronze warrior from the Khengis Khan area. The uniform seems more Mongolian than Chinese. The weapon he was holding is gone probably made from an organic material. Size: H. 20cm. Base W. 9.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some casting holes at the base.

An unusual jade male dancer with his legs twirling around each other, one arm on his chest the other straight down on his side. Most of the color of the jade is gone except for some remnants of the original jade still remaining. I have strung him to be worn as a pendent. Age: Han Dynasty. Size:5.4cm. Condition: No repairs.

A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. Fourteen rare multi-colored glass Han beads that can be used as a bracelet or necklace. Size:Between 2cm to 2.2cm each. Condition: All intact. Needs some cleaning from long burial.

Liao Flask shaped like a leather prototype with a vertical spout and a loop handle on the other side, both rising from a tall ovoid body covered in a rich glossy amber glaze, stopping above the foot to reveal the buff stoneware. Size: 31.5 cm.high. Condition. No repairs. Normal kiln marks. Age: 10th Century

A beautiful quadratic prism shaped translucent brown jade with two ring carved on each end. The jade is strung with three old Chinese beads. Age; Song or earlier Size: 3.4 x 2.1cm. Condition: No chips.

A very rare and beautifully carved blackwood table. The carvings represent good luck symbols with key fret designs,lingzhi fungus, floral, tendril, and coins. The front and the back are a mirror images of each other, and the two sides also have mirror image carvings on both ends. The legs are straight and not curved as seen in the wide angle photo. A complete old Tibetan ladies purse made of Yak leather and inlaid with silver and gilt carvings with a center piece of Turquoise. The front has carvings of two fish (representing the beginning of life)and flower design. The back has a center tree design. There is a silver woven chain attached to the top for carrying. Age: Late 19 Century. Size: Leather purse. L. 12cm. W. 7cm. Overall length. 32cm. Condition. Very good.No repairs. Normal ageing.

A rare carved jade of an old man with a beard. Half of the jade on top is translucent and the bottom bottom half opaque. It is from the Hunan culture which was absorbed by the Han as their control spread over the whole of China. Size: H. 3.8cm. W. 1.3cm. See last three photos.

A pottery whistle in the form of an unusual face with its lips puckered as if whistling. The top of the whistle has green and brown glazes (sansai glaze) - the bottom is unglazed. The glaze has a very fine crackle. Under magnification, tiny pits can be seen on the fine crackle, which is consistent with the appearance of glazes for pieces of this period.

Period: Tang (618 - 907 AD)

A Cizhou ceramic pillow with an ivory colored glaze which continues to a little above the base. The center of the headrest is painted fluidly with a floral spray in a brown iron pigment while a loose band of three freely incised lines encircle the flower. The base is left unglazed. Period: Song (10th Century) Size: Width = 23.5 cm (9-1/4 inches) Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Some loss of the glaze on both top edges.

A unusual rare well carved jade pendant with a stylized head of a Zhou pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.

A nicely carved natural amber pendant with one bat and leaf design. The bat represent longevity and happiness. The bat and happiness sound is in the Chinese language is similar - both pronounced Fu. Size: L. 2.5cm. Condition: No repairs, cracks or chips.

A rare unusual bronze mirror with two mythical animals that might be tigers. Age: Western Jin Dynasty - 265 - 316 AD. Size: Diameter - 9cm. Condition: No repairs. Natural aging with nice patina.
