This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France by Demartine Limoges around 1891. It was made especially for Tiffany of New York. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain is thin and translucent. The ground color is taupe, a combination of dark brown and gray. Both pieces are elaborately hand painted with arabesques that are accented with blue flowers and orange berries. The whole design is textured from the raised enameling and gilding. There is trim of gold and silver at the edges and around the well of the saucer. The entire surface of the ground color has a pattern of minute gold dots covering it. There is dental gold trim on the rims and the handle is sculpted gold. This demitasse cup and saucer is an extraordinary artistic accomplishment in the style Tiffany was famous for. This porcelain dessert stand or tazza was produced in France at Sevres in 1850. It has a cancellation line through the mark. The stand measures 10 ¾ inches in diameter and is 4 ½ inches high. The stand has a slight lip around the edge. It was made in two parts and is bolted together. The central design has colorful, exotic birds in a landscape scene. It is painted with fine detail. The burgundy border is gilded with leaves and ribbons. The underside of the stand has a ring of colorful fruits and flowers. There is the burgundy border, once again with additional gilded accents. The stem has a ring of flowers around it. The amount of work and hours that were necessary to complete this piece is unimaginable. Condition: There are some minor surface scratches on the top. There are losses to some of the gilded trim.

This pair of wine glasses was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. They are 5 ¾ inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 inches. The glasses are hand blown and have leaded content so that they ring. The glasses are hand enameled in exquisite fashion. All of the enamel is raised. Elaborate gilding fills in the spaces in between. Tiny pink roses dangle from the bottom of the bowl and down the stem. Rows of white enamel dots encircle the foot of the glasses. This is the finest quality decoration we have ever seen.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Trenton New Jersey by Lenox around 1906. The set was produced especially for the jewelry retailer, Shreve & Co. of San Francisco. The pattern name is “Virginian”. The saucer is 4 ¾ inches in diameter and the cup is 1 ¾ inches high. The ivory colored porcelain is decorated with cameos of a lady having tea and the front gates to a mansion. They are hand painted and framed in embossed gilding. Garlands of raised turquoise beads surround both pieces. The saucer has gilded baskets with hand painted roses spilling out. Embossed gilding trims the rims and the handle is also gilded. The plate is made of the finest quality hard paste porcelain ever produced in the Western Hemisphere. It measures 9 ½ inches in diameter. The reticulated border is cut out by hand. This set of 8 porcelain plates was produced in England by Minton in 1863. The name Minton is impressed with date ciphers indicating this year. The plates measure 9 ½ inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The reticulated borders around the plates are 1 ¾ wide. They are outlined in heavy celeste blue enamel known as French enamel. There are 3 cartouches in the borders containing colorful sprays of hand painted flowers. Similar flower sprays accent the centers of the plates. There are hand gilded accents and they have gilded rims. The process of producing French enamel items was labor intensive and costly. The design was taken from work done at the Royal Sevres Manufacturer using their signature celeste blue color. Condition: There are some minor scratches in the white surface from use. There are no other flaws.
