This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1940s. It measures 9 inches long and 5 1/4 inches high. It has an inscribed artist's name, K. Tutter, in the base. The subject matter of this group is quite comical. A naked cherub is fleeing from the attack of an angry goose. The little fellow is just "barely" getting away. The porcelain is modeled with great delicacy. The hand painting ads charm and detail. Condition: Excellent.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1920s. It is signed on the base by the artist, Himmelstoss. It is 7 1/4 inches high. The piece is styled in the art deco manner. The modeling is simple and the colors are subtle. From her dress and braids down her back, you can see she is a country girl. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1880s. The saucer measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is made of fine bone china. Each piece has molded high relief designs in the porcelain. The cup has a unique shape. From the rim of the cup it puffs out and then tapers toward the bottom. The rims of the cup and saucer are slightly scalloped. The decoration on this set is truly a work of art. Each piece is divided into panels. They contain hand painted swags of fruits and flowers. The background colors are done in a matte finish. Any decoration or gilding is shiny enamel which stands out against the matte finish. There is also raised gilding and enamel beading accenting the decoration. The designs remind me of Aubusson carpets. The pattern is intricate and the subtle colors blend beautifully. Condition: Excellent. This set must have only been displayed.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the late 1950s. It has the name of the artist, F. Heidenreich, impressed in the base. The group measures 5 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches long and 6 inches deep. It is a depiction of a pair of frisky Borzoi dogs. The dogs are modeled delicately, with fine detail. Their faces are beautiful. There are many slender limbs, so it must have been difficult to keep the porcelain from failing as it was being made. The dogs are hand painted realistically. Condition: Excellent. There are no defects or repairs.

The set is made of fine, white bone china. The decoration on this set is so elegant. It has red and green enamel jewels along with raised gold beading and decorations. The rims and handle are trimmed with bright, shiny gold. It has the appearance of jewelry. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is molded in a modified square shape. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. It is decorated with an ornate encrusted raised gold design. The hand painted decoration is finely detailed and contrasts elegantly with the cobalt blue ground. The shape is unusual and most attractive. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Minton around 1870. There are impressed marks from the factory and a printed mark for the retailer. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 3/4 inches high. The set is made of fine white bone china. It is decorated with a factory transfer that is highlighted with hand painted enamels. The style of decoration is distinctively of the aesthetic period. There are wispy bits of foliage and colorful butterflies on both pieces. A lacy gold trim encircles the saucer and cup. Condition: There is light surface wear to the saucer where the cup sits. It is in otherwise excellent condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890's. The shield mark is under the glaze in a blue green used in the 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deeper than usual and the cup is can shaped. The set is decorated with tiny garlands of flowers and leaves. They are painstakingly hand painted in miniature. The handle of the cup is gilded. This little demitasse is so charming and sweet it is sure to delight its next owner. Condition: Excellent.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Worcester around 1770. We have seen other pieces of Worcester in this pattern and although there is no marking, we believe it is Worcester. The diameter of the plate is 9 inches. The plate is rather deep. The border is colored with olive green enamel. The interior of the plate has hand painted flowers cascading across it. They are delicately painted with bright colors. The inside border is trimmed with gilded scrolls and the rim has gold trim. Condition: There are a few nicks in the gilding on the rim of the plate and one tiny chip. For such a rare example of Worcester, it is quite good for its age.

This ceramic box with brass mounts was produced in France by Gien around 1875. It is 6 1/2 inches high and has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The ceramic is soft paste with a tin glaze similar to majolica. If you run your fingers around the piece, you can actually feel the enamel painting. It is richly decorated with cherubs, fountains, and ornate scrolls, all on a cobalt blue background. The designs are all hand painted. There is a piece of fruit for the finial on the top of the lid. The bottom has a brass mount with lion's paws and the lid is hinged. Condition: The bottom inside rim has been restored. There are no other defects.

This porcelain cat was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1950s. It is 5 inches high and 6 1/4 inches long. It is nicely modeled and hand painted. The cat almost looks like he is smiling. It is a cat with character and a great find for a cat collector. Condition: Excellent

This set of 10 porcelain dishes with sauce boat was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1880s. The plates have a diameter of 9 inches and the sauce boat is 4 inches high. The underplate on the sauce boat is attached. Each piece is professionally hand painted with fish. The fish are painted with fine detail and outlined with raised gilding. It is interesting to see the different perspectives of each plate. These fish are coming and going in all directions. The rims of the plates are scalloped and trimmed with sponged gold. The sauce boat is also decorated with fish and lots of gold. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Manufactory between 1830 and 1840. They have a diameter of 8 3/4 inches. The plates have a reticulated rim with molded flowers and decoration in the porcelain. Each plate is hand painted with a Watteau scene depicting lovers in landscape settings. The painting is very fine, with minute detail and vivid colors. The quality of the workmanship is similar to that of Meissen. The borders and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Two of the plates have sizable chips on the foot ring on the back of the plates. This would not affect use or display.

These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Coalport in 1818. There are no markings on any of these plates but the pattern with the embossed design is documented to have come from Coalport. The plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The plates have embossed floral decoration in high relief. These flowers are outlined with gold. The border is cobalt blue. There are reserves with colorful hand painted flowers framed with fancy gold trim. There is a lovely bouquet of flowers in the center of each plate, all of them different. Gold accents are found throughout the decoration and there is a dentil gold trim on the rims. Condition: There is very minor wear to some of the gilding, mostly to the trim on the rims of these plates. You have to look hard to find it. As these plates are nearly 200 years old it is lovely find them in quite excellent condition.

This set of 12 porcelain plates were produced in England by Mintons in 1895. The plates bear the date cipher for that year. They have a diameter of 9 inches. They are made of fine, white bone china. The rims have fan shaped molded edges that create a scalloped border. In addition, pieced work is used to accent the decoration, giving the borders a lacy appearance. The plates are decorated with a factory transfer of pink chrysanthemums that spill across the center of each one. Very fine hand gilding enhances the borders. The style seems to be a mixture of the aesthetic and art nouveau period. Condition: Excellent. They were gently used.
