Antique Japanese large roll of unsewn, brocade obi fabric, in deep blue silk with gold, orange, and gray, with imagery of pine trees on a blue wave background. Hand woven with fine detail and excellent Gold threading.

Mid to Late meiji Period (1868 - 1912).

Measures about 12 ft long x 26" wide.

Original piece by one of the most famous Ukiyo-e woodblock artists, Utagawa Kunisada / Toyokuni III (1786-1865), with depiction of a large scene of men paddling boats with geishas and courtesans across a wide body of water to a far-off island. Antique Korean large blue and white porcelain jar, with a long, oval shaped body. Cobalt underglaze sparrows and pomegranates on branches decorate the body, with a collar of ruyi motifs along the base of the neck. The foot has a single ring above it in cobalt blue. Choson Dynasty 19th century.

Antique Japanese melon shaped hibachi, wilt gilt lacquer designs of chrysanthemums, peonies, and butterflies, gilt nashiji flakes and inlay adding depth to the nature scenes, interior with old patina. Meiji age (1868-1912)

Antique Japanese okimono gilt bronze rooster crafted in the shokado method of casting comprised of bronze, gold, and silver. The cockerel's feathered body is finely chased and carved, delineating each feather with gilding and blackened patinated silver this is infused into the finish.

Antique Chinese bronze fu dog incenser. He is sculpted with great detailing, his head points up with mouth open so that smoke billows from it. The head opens by a hinge to place incense within, and the interior shows old natural patina.

Antique Chinese monochrome deep blue vase, the body of a melon form with a foliate rim, decorated with ornate gilt motifs of guardian lions / fu dogs playing with hassled "xiu qiu" balls, floral designs and scholar's objects. The foot is marked "Qianlong" (1766-1795).

Antique Chinese porcelain statue of an immortal man, most likely Li Tieguai as he is depicted holding a gourd bottle to cure sicknesses and uses a walking stick. He is glazed in transparent, black, green, and light blue and wears a draping robe with cherry blossom patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722)

Antique Japanese bronze statue of a hooded lady sitting upon a hardwood stand. She holds a cup in her hand with a small dish resting beside her feet. She is wonderfully sculpted with realistic detailing and form. The hardwood stand she is seated on is carved to look like rock formations with leaves and mushrooms with pigment traces. Meiji period (1868-1912)

Antique Tibetan hand-carved wooden deity mask of Mahakala, a guardian diety, the fierce and powerful being and counterpart to Kali / Mahakali. His name means "Greater than Time" as he upholds ultimate rule and power over all forces, including time and death. This hand carved mask is indeed very fierce looking, with signs of wear and traces of old lacquer all throughout. Some losses.
