This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester around 1790. The set is unmarked but the pattern is unmistakably from the Chamberlain Period. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 11/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high and the opening has a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. The set is decorated in a chinoiserie style. This is a very fine example of a simple, yet elegant First Period Dr. Wall Worcester coffee cup. The painting is very nicely executed, and features a large, loose bouquet of flowers, and other scattered blooms, including a purple tulip. The handle is grooved and there is a gilded rim.

The cup is 2 1/2" tall and has a diameter of 2 3/8". The condition is superb, with no chips, cracks, restoration, or scratches. The enamels are vibrant, and the gilding is 99.9% intact.

A superb Derby porcelain coffee can displaying a wrecked ship and rescue efforts. This can was painted by George Robertson, whose depictions of ships and maritime scenes are among the most highly sought after and collected items of Derby porcelain. This particular scene, named on the bottom in blue script, is "A Shipwreck After a Storm."

A beautiful and uncommon Derby basket-molded stand, or undertray, with a scalloped rim and a basket-weave border, The center is painted with fruit in shades of yellow, iron-red, puce, green, and brown. A delicately potted and painted Vauxhall porcelain tea bowl with an outcurving lip, and depicting rockwork, trees, and an oriental pavilion. The interior with 3 dots and the bottom with a label from the Marie Evans collection.

SOLD An elaborately molded high handled sauceboat decorated with blue transfer flowers and blue transfer border on the interior top edge. There is a large amount of kiln ash in the glaze. 5 ¾ inches (14.5 cm) long, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) tall and 2 ¾ inches (6.5 cm) wide.

A beautiful, early, and rare Worcester coffee cup of bell shape with a fine wishbone handle, painted with a flower spray, roses and a butterfly, the reverse with a moth and ladybird amongst scattered sprigs. A similar cup was sold at the Bonham's auction of 3/7/07, lot 94.

Lovely porcelain figure of a billy goat standing on a pad decorated with flowers and foliage. The pad has a slightly impressed decoration on the front and gilt lines at the edges. A gold anchor mark is painted on the back of the base.

Origin: England, 1756-69. Condition: mint, except a tiny flake on the bottom of the pad base. Size: 1-3/8" x 2-1/8" x 2-1/4" tall. The anchor mark is just under 1/4" tall.

A rare Worcester porcelain coffee can, tapering slightly toward the base and molded with corrugated ribs above a finely scalloped foot, the lobed rim with a slight flare, and the double scroll handle with a pointed thumbrest. Painted in the Chinese style with flowering plants, the border with half-flowerheads linked by a red line above leafy tendrils.

SOLD A Worcester mug with flared sides decorated in transfer printed underglaze blue of sprigs of natural flowers. Although it is unmarked the transfer on one side is identical to the one shown on the side of a Worcester marked jug shown in plate 282 of Godden’s Caughley and Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800. The transfers are well printed. 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall and a little more in diameter across the handle.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor firing flaws...
