This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France circa 1800. It is unmarked. There are incised lines in the porcelain. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 3/8 inches high. The set is decorated with knots of stylized flowers in vibrant colors. There are bands of tooled gilding in leaf and flower patterns. The interior of the cup, handle and rim of the saucer are heavily gilded. Condition: Excellent

Faience écritoire / inkwell or desk set, France, c 1800. Unusually bold decoration of flowers in black and blue. The inserts apparently of the period, but not belonging. Width "7 ¼ / 18.5 cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: wear consisting with age.

This porcelain plate was produced in France by the Boyer studio at Rue de la Paise between 1817 and 1834. There is a coat of arms with a Latin motto in the border. It reads, “Vel Arte, Vel Marte” or “Or Skill or Initiative”. The plate measures 10” in diameter. The hand painted scene shows a noble hunting party on horseback, accompanied by packs of dogs, chasing a deer. This was painted by a highly accomplished artist, using depth and proportion with fine detail...

French Sevres Porcelain Plate, Ca. 1804-1809, 8 1/2" diameter, 3/4" high, hand painted with multiple floral design in the center, and molded low relief Bisque finish wide rim border with Angels holding floral banners repeated design, wrapped around with thin gold rim. Marked "M.JMP je de Sevres" in red on the bottom. The condition is good, thin gold rim is somewhat rubbed off in some area.

These 5 ceramic cups and saucers were produced in France by Creil, c.1820. The factory was founded in 1797 and continues today. The Victoria & Albert Museum has examples of Creil cream ware on exhibit. The saucers measure 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches deep. They would be a coffee size. The cups are 2 1/4 inches high. They have an ivory hue to the ceramic. They are decorated with factory transfers in black creating a striking contrast...

The cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set is decorated in the Sevres style. It has a band of pink and aqua with borders of leaves, berries and gilded flowers...

This porcelain sucrier or covered sugar bowl was produced in Paris, France in the late 18th century. It is unmarked with the exception of some incised unidentifiable marks. It has a height of 5 1/2 inches and a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. There are ring handles on each side of the bowl. It has elaborate hand gilding with garlands of flowers and pots filled with flowers. The gilding is superb. There are two reserves on the sides of the bowl containing vibrantly colored baskets of flowers...

A pair of oval dishes with godrooned borders, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white with decoration of flowers in underglaze blue. Made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Ronda was the most popular Tournai pattern, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory closed down. Width "10 ½ / 26.5 cm. Condition: firing crack and two little nicks to underside of rim of one dish (cf. pics).

A French faience pot de crème / custard pot, c 1760, ribbed and decorated with flowers in petit feu enamels. The style of the decoration as well as the shape resembles that of Veuve Perrin, Marseille, but the signature, a monogrammed JR, indicates that the little pot originates from the manufacture of Joseph Robert, also in Marseille. Height including lid "3 ¼ / 8 cm. Condition: some roughness to rims (cf. pics).

An 18th century faience desk set or inkwell for a lady, decoration of flower sprigs, mainly Forget me nots. French, possibly Rouen around 1780, Width "6 ¼ / 15.8 cm and height " / 5.7 cm. The base with four little feet and mark W in black, maybe for William Sturgeon who owned one of the Rouen factories from 1776. Condition: later restorations having been removed, now left with cracks and hairlines (cf. pics) but still charming.

Cream cup, a pot de creme with molded borders and cherry knob, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white, made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Decoration of under-glaze blue flowers in the Ronda pattern. Ronda was the most popular of the Tournai patterns, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory was closed down. Under-glaze blue mark, swords and three little crosses for the second and third Tournai period. Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm. Condition: fine.

French Empire-Napoleon Period (1790-1820) Powder/Lapis Lazuli Blue Urn with Ormoulu (top cover can be removed), very smooth "peach skin" surface, condition good, some slight color fading on one side, size: H. 46cm x 22cm diameter, heavy weight, rare & elegant collectible and a real eye-catcher because of the striking color!

A lobed dinner plate with a gilt rim, a gilt circle entwined with floral ropes on the lip and a worn monogram enclosed by a blue circle wrapped with a gilt wreath in the well. Diameter 9 1/8 inches (23 cm). Marked in underglaze blue on the back with the Seguin factory mark. The factory was active in Vincennes from roughly 1779 to 1788.

Condition: Enough wear to the enamel painting in the well to be distracting. There are internal and rim hairlines.

A porcelain dinner plate decorated with a gilt rim, a gilt rope with flowers on the lip and floral sprays in the well. Marked in overglaze red enamel on the back “B/Potter/1” The mark is probably from around 1794 for the short lived partnership of Potter and Blancheron.

Condition: Two hairlines and some stacking wear

A sturdy little earthenware salt, French, c 1760-80. Octagonal and decorated with a diaper pattern and cornflowers in a rustic variation of the Louis XVI style. Width "3/ 7.5 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.5 cm. Condition: a small area rough and unglazed, a mishap caused during fabrication (cf. pic 2).

Six footed little cups, tasses à glace / sorbet or ice cream cups in the model used by Sèvres from c 1750 up till around 1800. Because of their sparse decoration the cups go well with more richly decorated porcelain. Slight variation in the gilt and molding of the handles, and in height: four of the cups "2 ½ / 6.3 cm and two 6.5 cm. All probably from around 1780. Marks: LL interlaced - four in over-glaze blue, one in red under crown and with LF and one in gold with HP...

Sèvres coffee can and saucer with flower decoration and gilt dented /”wolf tooth” rims, c 1780. The can with the interlaced Ls and date mark, possibly BB for 1779). Saucer of the same age, unmarked. The measures of these so-called gobelets litrons were regulated by the French government in the 1750s. This is a gobelet litron of the third size, "2 ½/ 5.8 cm high, Diameter of saucer "4 ½ / 11.5 cm...

A porcelain plate decorated with floral sprigs and bouquets with a shaped rim decorated with gilt dentil edge marked on the underside with a “B” in underglaze blue. 9 inch (23 cm) diameter. This short lived porcelain factory, roughly 1776-1781, had the Duc d’Orleans (cousin of the King Louis XVI) as its patron.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some wear to the gilding and a little stacking wear.
