This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Heufel Dresden in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set has borders of cream and bands of crimson red trimmed with elaborate raised gilding. The cup has a scenic reserve of a garden with lovers. It is framed in raised gold. A very rare set of (probably) English 9-7/8" plates in a variant of the original Blue Willow pattern. We haven't been able to accurately identify this pattern with its distinctive border butterflies in our books, however they are definitely Georgian. The porcelain is the expected light gray and the decoration is slightly blurred and each plate has the expected frit and minor variations from the manufacture of these items...

A wonderful Victorian ironstone footed fruit compote decorated in an underglaze blue floral pattern. Distinctly Asian in flavor, the pattern depicts prunus blossoms and peonies surrounded by rocky outcroppings, foliage and hovering butterflies. The edges are finished in a diaper border. Either end has a leafy handle, heavily accented with gilding similar in style to that found on Old Paris porcelains. The overall shape and use of gilding suggests an early date. This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. It measures 10 inches in diameter. The artist’s initials are on the back. The plate has twelve sides and has molded beading in the porcelain around the edge. It has a hand painted scene in the center. There is a hen and a rooster among a field of wild flowers. It is styled in the art nouveau fashion. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn Dresden in the 1880s. The shape of the set is quatrefoil. It is decorated with alternating panels of flowers and landscape scenes with lovers in gardens. Ornate gilding trims the rims and separates the panels. All the decoration is painstakingly hand painted in the Meissen style. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The fine, white porcelain is slightly molded with ribs and the handle is an ornate split branch shape. It is decorated with elegant raised and beaded gilding in Art Nouveau style. Bands of embossed gold trim the rims. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

A beautiful Spode porcelain plate painted with a variety of motifs. The pattern number is not listed in any of the Spode pattern books, nor have I been able to find examples of the decoration. A reasonable assumption might be that this was produced as a "one-off" sample for a larger service that was not completed.

The decoration on the plate includes an exotic bird, shells and feathers, and fruits, an interesting combination to say the least...

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Aynsley in the mid 19th century. It is not marked but we recognize the specific style of design on the border that Aynsley used. Art Nouveau deep turquoise Czechoslovakian majolica porcelain centerpiece by Eichwald. One small old chip at foot (see last photo), it is considered to be in very good condition. The bottom is marked with "Eichwald". Measures 13.25 inches across and about 6 inches high. Circa 1910.

A 19thC Farrar Batiscan Quebec 4 gallon handled wine jug or crock, for the Marchand & Co spice, wine and liquor merchant. This 18-3/4" tall handled salt glazed stoneware jug still has the cork and it is completely hand thrown. It has a blue floral design identical with other known Farrar examples and it has a blue-wiped impressed legend stating "MARCHAND & CO MARCHANDS EPCIERES VINS ET LIQUEURS BATISCAN 4"...

A lovely pair of Royal Crown Derby vases in the Old Imari pattern. In excellent condition with very little wear to the gold except on the ears and mouth rim. No chips, no hairlines, no repairs. They measure 6.5" high. Dates 1877-1890.
