Decoration of under-glaze blue flowers in the Ronda pattern. Ronda was the most popular of the Tournai patterns, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory was closed down. A rare early 18th century French porcelain figure after an early Japanese piece, Edo period. The 5" model of a seated boy holding a peach is beautifully enameled in the Imari palette. A fine addition to a historical porcelain collection.
There is some damage; the tip of the boy's tongue is missing, as is the tip of the little finger of his right hand. The left hand has been broken and repaired, three finger tips are missing. This may be seen in the sixth photograph.

An early Worcester patty pan with everted rim, carefully painted in blue with the "Bare Tree and Speared Bird" pattern. The pattern features an oriental landscape with a turreted single story building between a figure and a tree, within a diaper pattern pendent husk and scroll border. Workman's mark on the exterior base.
The condition of this piece is excellent, with crisp deep colors and no cracks, chips, or other flaws. The diameter is 4 3/16" (10.5 cm).

Crackle glaze baluster vase with decoration of flowers and scrolls in panels in the Imari palette: underglaze blue, iron red and gilt. The vase is heavy, with thick walls and a wide band around the foot. Japanese, Edo c 1720. Height "7 2/3 / 19.5cm. Condition: the mouth rim ground (the vase might have had a metal fitting) and there is a faintly yellow shade to part of the shoulder (no restoration).

A sturdy little earthenware salt, French, c 1760-80. Octagonal and decorated with a diaper pattern and cornflowers in a rustic variation of the Louis XVI style. Width "3/ 7.5 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.5 cm. Condition: a small area rough and unglazed, a mishap caused during fabrication (cf. pic 2).

La Rochelle fayence plate from the late 18th century. Charmingly naïve decoration of a pheasant in a landscape, the border with a twig of pears (?). The back with spur marks near the rim, a sign of age. Diameter: "9 ¾/ 24.5 cm. Condition: fine, with decorative crackling of the glaze and some burst bubbles caused in firing.

A nicely decorated and shaped platter with 12 sides (the form known in France as a douze pans). This type of platter with a bust and scrolling decoration is typical of Moustiers, though the attribution to the Clerissy factory as stated on the stuck-on label on the back is less certain.
