Dinner plate in Sevres pattern but probably Minton c. 1850

A soft paste porcelain dinner plate unmarked, but probably Minton. In the “feuille de choux” pattern with hand painted flowers, blue accents and heavy gilding. These knock offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid 19th century (c.1850) onwards and Minton made many of the very good ones. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

This is an early English blue and white transfer print porcelain bowl, marked "Marathon" and what appears to be "P" "L" "F" and "5" or "P" "F" with a faux Chinese mark in underglaze blue; the outer surface of the bowl is molded with fluting and branches and has a blue and white floral transfer design on two sides; the overall crackle pattern and the blue glaze splatters outside the design area seem to represent the early period technique; condition: several glaze imperfections and minor flakes o...

A Large Round Copeland Tray or Platter in Blue on a White background with a Scalloped Rim with a Gold Edge. The dimension is 15" in diameter, with a height of 1.5". The date mark is for 1881, with the Copeland imprint on the underside. In excellent condition.

Earthenware relief-moulded dish by Söholm on the isle of Bornholm, Denmark. Late 19th century, typical of this factory’s early production. Moulded decoration of laurel leaves and an old couple in classical style, the design inspired by Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen. Diameter "10/ 26 cm. Condition: slight wear to parts of the figures in the centre.

6 French majolica asparagus plates with a yellow basket weave pattern edged by a scalloped turquoise rim. The plates features 4 purple tipped asparagus spears laying on a large green artichoke leaf against a turquoise ground. Although difficult to see in photo, there is a well on the right side of the plate for a sauce or melted butter. From the Salins-les-Bains region of eastern France this plate dates circa 1875. Staffordshire pottery cup and saucer decorated in a rare combination of rococo brown transfer reserves with pink luster roses. The earthenware body is molded in a swirled pattern.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England in 1882. The date letter indicates this year. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 ¼ inches high. The set is made of bone china. The cup features the traditional Worcester ring handle. The set is decorated with alternating bands of gold and yellow. English Blue Transferware deep Plate, 19th century, 8 7/8" diameter, 1 1/4" high, fluted edge with Castle scenery and figures attending cows, impressed mark "2" on the bottom, possibly "Spode" pottery, the edges are worn and stained little, the condition is good.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer is 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set has molded decorations in the porcelain. It is made of fine, white bone china. The decoration is inspired by the Japanese Imari pattern. The colors, rust red, cobalt blue, peach and gold are vibrant. Intricate gilded designs accent both pieces. There is gold trim on the rims and handle. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. It was produced especially for the prestigious retailer, Gilman and Collamore of New York. The saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches. The cup is 1 7/8 inches high with a diameter of 1 7/8 inches. The fine, white bone china is covered entirely be gold. There are panels of intricate, embossed patterns alternating with panels of raised turquoise enamel beads or jewels...

Very rare Staffordshire figural inkwell in the form of two birds nesting amongst flowers. A beautifully modeled and painted tulip stands upright between the birds. It is possible that the tulip was intended as a candlestick, because the quill holders are in the base near the birds' tails. Origin: England, ca. 1870. Size: 2-3/4" diameter; 3" tall. Condition: excellent, no damage or repairs.

A nice Staffordshire inkwell or quill holder in the form of a recumbent deer. The naive painted decoration almost makes it look as if she's wearing a little black hat. The doe is posed on a white base molded as a rocky outcropping. The base is highlighted with a burnished gilt line.

Rare large ironstone platter in the Imari taste with a cobalt blue border by G.L. Ashworth, the successor to Mason’s. The platter’s rim is unusually decorated with reserves showing Japanese ladies with parasols and floral elements surrounded by gilding. The central design shows an Asian-themed still life including peonies, lotus blossoms, pagodas, etc. The back is printed with Ashworth’s mark, is impressed “Real Ironstone China”, and has a decorator’s mark.

This ceramic box with brass mounts was produced in France by Gien around 1875. It is 6 1/2 inches high and has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The ceramic is soft paste with a tin glaze similar to majolica. If you run your fingers around the piece, you can actually feel the enamel painting. It is richly decorated with cherubs, fountains, and ornate scrolls, all on a cobalt blue background. The designs are all hand painted. This porcelain bowl was produced in France at a Limoges porcelain manufacturer in the late 19th century. We were unable to identify the marks. It is a factory decorated piece with both under glaze and over glaze markings. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 2 1/4 inches deep. It has a scalloped rim. This set of 10 porcelain cups and saucers and one covered bowl was produced in Europe by an unknown manufacturer in the 19th century. They have a mark we do not recognize.
